Hi Ravi,

Im sorry to hear that your ec got rejected.
You should be recieving the HSMP letter from Hoe Office.

A quick question, before applying EC have u consulted any one, or u applied by your own, because i c that ur acct bal is 1,10,000/-, Your account balance should be 2,24,000/-. Which is mandatory for applying EC. Also VFS officer will not take the docs if funds not shown.

Do u have any offer letter in hand while applying EC?

Hello Navin,

Could you please help me with my case?

Following is the timeline:

EC Applied: 11th April
HSMP Approval Date: 5th March
VFS: Mumbai
Form: VAF2
Funds shown: 5+ lac
Integra called: 6th May to my Co-operative bank (2nd Account), Not called my employer.

Please suggest what are my chances, since have maintained funds from December onwards but on & off had taken money from account for investing in Shares. But, from Jan 30th the minimum balance was 3 lac........

Does caseworker consider amount as on application date or do they consider 3 months when the actually start considering the application.

Hi Dude,

Your appplication is very strong, the rejection % is zero. You can do ur transcation from ur acct. All you need to do is to maintain bank balance of 2800GBP.

1.How did u arranged ur funds?loans/saving...
2.Did u filled VAF9a and 9b form.
3.how much amt you mentioned in the cover letter.

If u answere the above questions then it will be easier for me to analyse more things...

Hi all,
I have doubt on this topic. please someone clarify.

Just last week got the status of my application as approved. Now preparing for EC.
I have funds in my demat a/c 5+lacs in the form of shares, from more than six months.
Can I submit this bank a/c statement, is it acceptable?

If not, wht best I can do to go for EC at the earliest.
Tell me the possiblities.
If I sell my shares, do I need to show it for 3months.
Can I club the initial demat statement and this saving a/c stmt(after selling the share) and apply for EC immediately????

Hello Navin,

Please find my details below:

1. Funds were transferred from my parents account to mine on December 7, 2007. On Dec 12, amount reflecting in my account was Rs. 3,02,500.00/-. My initial application was made in 1st week of Jan 08. Amount at that time was 3,00,000/-. Post which on 22 Jan, 08 I applied for Reliance shares and amount went down to 2,03,000/-. I got my salary credited and after all cheques going from my account account balance was Rs. 2,25,000/- on February 7, 08. February 11th I got a refund from Reliance Power and amount went high upto Rs. 3,14,000/- and then on it has never gone down infact current total stands to Rs. 3,75,000/-. This is only the transaction history of one of the account.

2. Second account which I hold with co-operative bank (First name sister & second name mine, letter from bank attached with EC application) in that there was roughly around 50+ thousand during my initial application and in mid Feb I opened a new account with my name first and second name my sister (Bank letter attached with the EC application) and I transferred all the amount from old (First name sister) account to the new one and before I made EC application balance was Rs. 1,19,000/- and during integra verification balance was Rs. 97,000/-

3. Third account of my wife, in mid-march she had Rs. 34,000/- and it is still there as it is never have gone down.

4. I have also shown sponsorship (stamp paper submitted with EC application) from my sister for Rs. 59,000/- and she had balance for a quiet a long time (at least 2-2.5 months at the time of application, I'm sure).

5. Total amount shown for EC application (Mine + Wife + Sponsorship) = Rs. 5,60,000/-

6. Current balance = Rs. 5,64,000/-

7. I filled up VAF2 form, in Mumbai VFS, where can I find copy of VAF9a and 9b forms?

Today, I sent a mail to British Deputy High Comission informing them that transaction made on 22nd Jan was the investment for RPOWER shares and I can forward the DEMAT statement to BHC on demand. Also, I had mentioned that the transfer from my old account to new was done in February and I can forward the bank statement also for the old account on demand. I have also forwarded my current statement for the account where I have Rs. 3,75,000/- as account balance.

Navin, your valuable input will be a great help to me, as I'm very tensed.

Regards.

Hi All,

I applied for my EC on 5th of may, just before 2 days of my hsmp approval expiry date.

I applied under old rules with VAF2 form and didn't show the funds for 3 months. I am maintaining the funds in my account from 25th of february nearly 70 days as on EC Application date.

By 24th of this month, I can show the 3 months funds in my account. please clarify the following

1. Can i take a latest bank statement on 24th of this month and send it to BHC?

2. Will BHC accepts the extra documents that we send after appying for EC before the decision has been taken?

I will need your valuable inputs, please send ASAP.

Regards,

Srini

Hi Srini,

You should not send any extra documentation now. Moreover BHC will check the 3 month bank balance back from the date of your ec application , not now.

But , Since you applied just before 2 days of expiry of your hsmp approval letter , they will definetely consider your case and accept your visa.

all the best..keep posting your updates.

Hi Ravi,

I can see that VFS people misguided u.....
first mistake, when u r applying for VISA your savings/salary account should have 2800GBP i.e 2,38,000/ In that 2,38,000, aroound 1,50,000 should be your savings. You cant take loan for 2,38,000/-. The main criteria for embassy is whether you can survive without job for 3 months in UK. If your taking loan(from bank, dad, wife, frien) of around 2,38,000 it will show negative impact on the embassy. So it's always better to show ur ersonal savings.

One more important thing you have to mention the amt which u have in ur savings.

Any way be cautious when ur applying for next time. Keep the above things in mind and then apply.

Regards
Navin G

Posted by navinga (99) 19 May 2008
Hi Dude,

i clots of complications in ur funds arrangement. The only thing what embassy will look at is whether u have 2800 GBP in ur savings/salary acct. Consider the below chances

1.If 2800 GBP is your savings then rejection chances 0%,
2.Out if 2800 GBp , if 75% of your sacings amt is ur savings and 25% loan/sponsrer (from parents, relatives, bank). Still rejection percent is 0%. For this proper documentation should be made about ur funds.
3.If 2800 GBP. if the entire amt is loan then rejection percent is 100% i.e visa can be rejected.

If you r falling in 1 and 2 then u r safe...........

The embasy will not bother if u show 10 lac in ur acct. All they want is whether u can survive in uk for three months without a job......

Embassy will not entertain people who take loans/sponsrer letter and apply for EC. All they need is 2800 GBP in your savings acct..

Hi Navin,

I think all the above information you have given is not 100 % correct . Because , I have many of my friends who took all the amount through loan and got their visa stamped . Also , according to the new rules , they are just bothered about the fund availability with you for the last 3 months..not anything else.

Hi Ravi,

I am very much worried after seeing everyone getting rejected because of funds maintainance. If they reject my EC, i will not be having the option to reapply bcoz my hsmp letter expired on 7th may.

I am thinking to send my scanned copy of the latest bank statement to BHC. It is upto to BHC whether they accept the extra doc or not. will keep my fingers crossed and hoping for the positive response.

Hi Srini,

do that as soon as possible.Because they may take decision anytime and once they took decision , it is not so easy to appeal.do it tomorrow morning itself.. also send a covering letter explaining your complete case.

Thats true. If they reject your application , you have apply fresh under Tier I .

Hi Srini,

Usually they take 15 - 18 working days ..25th is sunday so u can take the statement on monday ..26th ..which would be 16th working day....chances are very less that they will take a decision by monday , 26th.because , these days they are taking more than 25 working days to take a decision....so its better to fax the covering letter and the statement on monday 26th...also courier the original copies to them on the same day....

but if they take a decision on ur application , this week itself ..then we dont know how it would be ...

Srini : did you talked to vfs guys...just take their opinion as well...

folks!!! any advice here.................

I will send you the draft of the covering letter once i prepare it. could you send me your email id?

Hi Ravi,

My consultant Mr. Srinivas from "Sritech Consulting Group" is a specialist in getting approval for rejected cases, he has a proven track record for the same.

If u want to discuss your case with him then you may call at the following number for appointment - 0091-40-66320032. You may give my reference as MOHAMMED ABDUL QADEER (HSMP APPLICANT).

hi All,
my 12 salary slips are according to my old salary structure ..
Very recently I got appraised and salary increased from 6 to 6.5 lacs.

If the Integra guys called, will this salary mismatch create a problem ??.
Although pointswise I am not gaining any points for the salary hike...

another thing that I want to ask is - What pound rate do they consider ??
Is it the currently prevailing one or they have set some standard??

presently i m scoring 90 points..

thanks again

hi sameerinfo2003,

It wouldn't have a negative effect.

But still as a precaution u may speak to your HR to explain this pay hike to the INTEGRA people when they call your office.

hi AbdulQadeer,
thanks for the reply.

Talking to HR is another concern for me .. as frankly speaking my company folks won't like it if they happen to know that I have applied for Visa on my own ..

morever why i was asking about the pound rate was beacuse , if I consider the pound rate as 80 then i will be gaining 5 points and scoring 95 as compared to my present scor i.e. 90.

kindly suggest

Hi sameerinfo2003,

hmmm i guess not informing or not discussing with your HR might work negative for you.

Because just in case if the HR doesnt send a proper feed back then again you would be at risk.

What i can advise is, if it is ok at your office to update the HR regarding you HSMP then do it
and if not then just wait and hope for the best.

regarding the pound conversion it doesnt matter as of now in your case, why because u have send for ENTRY CLEARANCE, So whatever points the HOME OFFICE has assigned you in the APPROVAL LETTER will be the final points that would be considered at ENTRY CLEARANCE.

Guys ,

I got a confirmation mail from Deputy High Commission. Please read this :

"Sir,

As a general rule each single applicant will be required to produce evidence that they have £2,800 at their disposal. This money should be immediately available in sterling in the UK or there should be formal authority to transfer it to the UK. The funds should be in the applicant's name or in a joint account with a married, unmarried or civil partner. If it is in a savings account, the funds must have been held for at least 3 months. Should the money be in a current account the account must have been active for at least 6 months and show regular salary or other income in line with the applicant's stated occupation. If the money is held in trust it must be at the applicant's disposal and not administered by others.
Applicants must provide documentary evidence detailing the source of any funds that have entered their account(s) within the last 3 months, for example fixed deposits, receipts and/or legal documents relating to the sale of assets.

This is a mandatory requirement and the chances of relaxation are very remote.

Yours faithfully

1) Should I personally apply for the HSMP? If not, what should be the consultation fees (approx.)
2) I saw, may of us refering to something called EC...What does it mean?
3) What is the story behind the £2,800 ?

Hello All,

I received my HSMP work permit on jan 4th - 08 and its going to expire on Aug3rd -08.
Iam planning to go for EC and have few queries to make clear reg my funds.

As we know we need to maintain funds of 2800 pounds for 3 months, I have 1 lak rupees from april28th and from May27th I have 2 laks rupees. So that will be 3 laks which are in my savings account.

But I dont have sufficient time to maintain funds for 3 months as work permit will get expired on Aug 3rd.

Hence please suggest me the best time to go for EC and chances of getting the Visa.

Hello Navin,

My case is similiar to Raghu, srini and yours.

Pls see the details below..

My HSMP letter approval date 19th Feb 2008.
Validity expired on 18th Aug 2008.

I realised just few days back i need to apply under TIER ONE and i should not use VAF2 form.

If i am applying under TIER ONE VAF9 form..Then i need to full fill the Maintence section showing 2800 pounds in account over a period of 3 months. SInce i realised late :( , from today onwards 29th May i am having the fund to be maintained. But if i wait for three month and then apply for EC then it will be Aug29th where my HSMP validity already expired on Aug 18th :(.

But when i enquire with VFS they have replied ,

Dear Kandakumar,

Thank you for contacting VFS UK Visa Helpdesk.

With regard to your query, we understand your concern however this is to inform you that the applicants who are already holding an HSMP approval letter are required to provide 15 months bank statements in which the last 3 months should reflect 2800 GBP and they need to apply under HSMP transitional visa.

We hope the above information has been of help to you. If you require any further assistance please feel free to contact us. Our contact details are as given below.

Thanks & Regards

UK Helpdesk

Helpline no – 080-40084008

SMS VISA UK PASSPORT NO to 57333 receive the status of your application.

Please book all appointment in advance to submit your applications.

Visit www.vfs-uk-in.com

so there is no option for me to fill VAF2 and i need to go ahead with VAF9 and show funds are maintained for 75 to 80 days :(.

When i look in to Srini case they have considerd the 80 days fund but wht the thing i didnt understood is he filled VAF2 form..

In that there is no maintence section and chance are more to get approved..

Let me know your input..

Hi HSMP dude, your chances seem to be good as you have 3L balance from 30Jan. You shud consider your three months as follows, as u applied EC is 11 April, go back 3 months frm 11 Apr, gives 11 Jan. Now you should also consider the balance between 11 - 30 Jan. Hope you havent withdrawn too much.

As such you have a good history with ur account, it shall be fine, you shud get a visa if I was to judje u, as they are relaxing and deciding case by case. If they were strict, then ur chances wud be difficult, but as u see other cases, it seems quite positive.

Hope my reply helps. Jimit

Hi all,
I applied for EC on 21st April and as usual, got rejected on maintenance ground of 2800GBP for3 months.

I am planning to apply on 16th July again. Last time I just showed only one Savings A/C balance (salary acc with ICICI). On 16th April it had an amount of INR 2,22,833.84. ( effectively 2828 GBP on 16th April but fell below 2800 GBP mark as Pound rate appreciated to 79 point something till April end )

I have another Savings account with UCO Bank since college days which has a rough balance of 5000 + since last 4 years. However, I have not done any transaction on this account for four years now after joining job.

The Grand Total of these two crosses 228000 INR .

I have the following doubts, on which I need inputs soon :

a. Can I show both these savings accounts' balance in my application for EC.
b. Will the absence of any transaction in the UCO bank account weigh against my EC application ?

Thanks.

Helo Sandya,
I maintained around 3.25 Lakhs.For 70 days i maintained 2.75 lakhs and 50k i deposited 50k ,20 days before applying EC.
The concept is simple EMI is 10k.2800 GBP concept is (800*3 months) + 400 for air travel expense.
so you maintain 2.4 lakhs + 3 to 4 months EMI amount.
