Topic: Submitting additional materials
Posted by waitingaussie (40) 11 Sep 2008
Hi, I have read on this forum that there is a possibility of submitting additional materials to be added to a HSMP application so long as the application is not yet considered by a case officer. Has anyone had experience (success) with doing this?

Any response much much appreciated!

Hey Aussie,

Yes, you can send in additional information if your HSMP hasn't been considered by a case worker. I sent them an email stating I was sending additional information, and had no reply...how rude!

I sent in additional materials for income testing, after my friend said they're very strict on this, and didn't want to take the chance of getting my HSMP denied. My original application was received by Home Office on 23 May. I sent my additional materials via courier and was signed by an employee of Home Office on 9 June. I never called them to verify if they received it or whether they had added it to my original application though, but I put my reference number on the pieces of additional information.

At that time, additional materials were sent to:

HSMP Team
UK Border Agency
Morrfoot
Sheffield S14PQ

Not sure what the address is now? Someone on this forum has it though.

Thanks Kiwi - I had called the Homeoffice and they actually gave me a different address (which i used). For other ppl who are interested its:

Work Permits – HSMP UKBA Home Office
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
UNITED KINGDOM S3 8WA

I had asked whether I can courier documents to them however they were unable to confirm whether the Home office will sign off on documents (which they seem to have done for you). For those who are interested, the courier addie is:

HSMP UKBA Home Office
Vulcan House Steel
1 Millsands
Sheffield
UNITED KINGDOM S3 8NU

I didnt want to risk my courier item being returned so i just sent via regular international express post. Hopefully my documents make it in time and are accepted... they are moving so much quicker through the applications now, so its really a race against time for my documents. Fiingers crossed!

Thanks and good luck

no worries Masim - re: your second question - i'm actually not sure. I had called the UKBA customer line on this question and they supplied the above two addresses. I had checked with them and they did say not to send to the same address for the initial application.

Do you have your reference number and details attached to your extra materials? Best bet is to give the UKBA a call - if they have received it, they should be able to see it recorded on your case.

Please check postings under my name for last one month. Detailed process like where to send and how to get acknowledgment etc is outlined in one message. I sent add. docs and they acknowledge my email as well as fax and couple of weeks ago I have received approval.

I have initial approval and want to apply for EC with a dependent ( my wife) have following questions EC

1) For applying EC which form to fill up ? is it available online ? where to download from ?
2) Is integra form necessary for Middle East?
3) Marriage Certificate - who should attest the certificate, Home country embassy? External affairs ministry ?
4) Police Clearance ( from where, home country or resident country)- has to be for the dependant also ? How much old is acceptable ( as in case of Bank statement only 7 days old is acceptable).
5) How do we plan the hotel booking, as we are not sure about the EC processing time. It might take one or two months ?
how to secure accommodation letter from hotel, email is fine or hard copy of the letter is required. Do we also have to send the air ticket with the application then, as hotel is booked ?
6) what about the conversion rate of foreign exchange as there is lots of fluctuation in the rate.
