Topic: HSMP Approval - Documents Required
Posted by HSMPQueries (11) 01 Jul 2007
I am in the process of applying for my HSMP approval in the next few weeks. Just to give you a quick background; I am making my application from India, have a B.Com Degree from Mumbai University, under 27 years of age, salary for any 12 months in the last 15 months is greater than £7,500.

Would appreciate it if anyone could let me know if the documents mentioned below are sufficient for a successful application:

Age (20 Points):
Original Birth Certificate (My name is not mentioned on it, only my Parents names on hospitals letterhead);
Notarized copy of front and last page of my passport.

Education (30 Points):
Original copy of my degree.

Earnings (45 Points):
Original Tax Returns (1st April 2006 - 31st March 2007) (Not sure if this qualifies within the 15 month time frame);
Original Bank Statement + online bank statement (1st April 2006 - 1st July 2007);
Letter from employer stating month by month gross and net salary break-up;
Wage slips for the same period (these are NOT stamped or signed).

English Language Requirement:
Original Degree;
Letter from Mumbai University stating that my taught program was in English Language;
Transcripts.

Besides these documents I intend to send a covering letter with my form.

Would appreciate it if anyone could let me know if there is anything I missed out or if any additional documents would help make my case stronger. Also, what is the average processing time from the date the application is received by the HSMP office to the time you receive your approval letter in hand?

Cheers!!!

Dont you have a drivers licence for Age?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by HSMPQueries (11) 07 Jul 2007
I have a drivers license but am a little reluctant as that would mean my driving without a license for any time between 2 weeks - 2 months.

What are your thoughts?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by HSMPQueries (11) 07 Jul 2007
Basically you need all your salary slips stamped and signed by your employer and the bank statements should prove that the salary you are claiming is being credited from your employer.

Posted by ramumorla (39) 07 Jul 2007
I think you can drive with a photo copy.. The Driver licence is considered to be the most valuable proof..Its upto you

Thanks for the input. I dont think I really want to take a chance. Probably will go ahead with sending my drivers license.

I am in the process of getting a new birth certificate made as well.

Thanks again.

Take a photo copy, send this to HSMP-UK, GO to RTO office, tell them that your DL is spoild because of rain or some other problem (Dont say that you lost it or stolen)- Get a duplicate- A day's Job. If you dont want to wait for 2-4 weeks for your ODL, Otherwise, Immediately after your application reaching them, send an URGENT TREATMENT FORM- Trust me your application is going to be treated real urgent. If it can be approved in normal course, it will be approved even in urgent case.

I am actually in Mumbai and my DL is from Delhi. I would need to get it issued from Delhi itself right?

Also, since you mention, what kind of proof do you need to substantiate an urgent treatment request?

I see that you have revieved your HSMP approval. Congrats!!! Have you started your EC process?

Were you applying from India or from UK to apply for the urgent treatment? Did they call you for any info for the urgent treatment?

I am waiting for more than 6 weeks. Can I ask for an urgent treatment?

I would like to know Nursing is accepted in HSMP category?

I received my PR application AOR from CHC London on dated 2nd September 2005, until now no response. Any one knows which month case is looking by CHC, London. I submitted my IELTS by August 2006. Recently I updated CHC a copy of my employment offer from Alberta as Registered nurse. Now I am waiting for the LMO from HRSDC and after getting it again will send its copy as update to CHC. I am worried that why CHC is not asking even 90 days update of PCC etc. Now 24 months is over. My agent WWICS in Dubai have no answer of my question. They always saying will come soon.

Hello,

I am planning to apply for HSMP, I have all the require documents

1. Educational qualification certificate
2. Income tax returns
3. Salary statements
4. Bank statements

I received signed and stamped salary statement (not a salary slip on single paper) for the the period of Jun 2006 to Jun 2007, I do not have individual salary slip, instead I have is salary statement(which has all deductions) for 12 months.

My question is will that be sufficient or I have to provide salary slip separately for each month?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by HSMPQueries (11) 22 Sep 2007
My HSMP initial application got rejected as I had provided a similar piece of evidence. In my case I had 2 wage slips, 1 with salary details month by month from April 2006 to March 2007 and another one from April 2007 to July 2007. I was claiming for period August 2006 to July 2007.

They rejected it stating that only 2 wage slips were provided.

I have sent my documents for a review explaining that all the details are present in the 2 wage slips.

However, another friend of mine provided the same evidence and got the approval without any problem.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for you reply. Just one more question.

In your cover letter, earning stament related letter did you mentioned by any chance that you are proving 2 wage slips for all 12 months?

Thanks in advance,
(reply) (report this)
Posted by HSMPQueries (11) 24 Sep 2007
I indeed provided information on the main cover letter along with a half page explanation in the earning section as well. My wage slips were stamped and signed by the director. I even provided stamped and signed bank statements that clearly mention my employer name.

Besides this I even provided the directors business card.

This time I have faxed a 3 page clarification letter for the purpose of review.

Not to worry, there are many cases that have actually got approved without any problem.

I have a question regarding earnings to be showed while applying for HSMP.

Is it really required to show all of the 12 months payslips (out of 15 months) prior to the date of application?

Suppose if there are gaps in employment, can we show the earnings for
say 10 months whose cumulative earnings meets the threshold to earn points?

If we need to justify the gaps in employment, can we show the evidence (for Eg: Medical certificate) to get exemption?

Thanks,
Suresh

I have a question

I am planning to apply for the period between july06 and jun07

I am providing following evidence

1. tax return - ITR2
2. Bank statements (Net salary) for all 12 months
3. Salary slips for all 12 months.

Now problem is gross amount mentioned in ITR does not match to the gross amount shown in salary slips, and do not have any other income, there is minor difference of Rs. 900

Can you please let me know what can be done in this case.

Thanks in advance

Hi Nasty Kid,

I think you did not get my question. I think i should be more specific about my case itself. Let me explain it.

I will be applying for HSMP by october first week. I need to show earnings for the past twelve months, so it shoule be
from October 2006 to September 2007. The issue here is I was not working during the month of
October 2006 and November 2006 as I was hospitalised for two months. So i do not have payslips for those two
months. So i will not be able to give payslips for 12 consecutive months. I need to manage the situation now.

The good thing here is the total earnings in this 10 months, can earn me 30 points. Now my question is, According to
HSMP policy, is it required to produce all of the 12 months payslips?. Since there is gap of 2 months in my employment
which comes under this 12 months period, Can I show Medical certificate to justify the gaps in employment?..

Please help me!

Thanks,
Suresh

Hi Guys/Gals @Trackitt,

I am little confused about the fee structure of HSMP application. All I need to know is

1. As per my understanding HSMP application process is divided into 2 phases. first to make an initial application with points claimed. Second for EC.

2. What is the exact cost involoved in this process? How much initial HSMP application costs? How should one approach visa office, sheffield UK? Is there any governing body present in India for making an initial application.

I have read on the sites that they charge 400 pounds for initial HSMP application and need to send via courier by filling all the necessary details to sheffiled home office.

Can you all please give me your thoughts and valuable opinions? Quick reply is much appreciated and thanks and advance.

Regards n have a good day to all.

If anyone can share their mobile no in this regard then please help me out with mobile number.

1. Correct. 2 step process. Initial approval and entry clearance.

2. Fee for initial approval 400 pounds, payable by credit card / demand draft. Entry clearance fee Rs. 17.000 per applicant if applying from India. For initial approval you would need to contact the Sheffield office directly and for EC you would need to go via the VFS office if applying from India.

All the best.

Hello Guys,
I’m new on this thread. I’m trying to put together my documents for the HSMP. I’m applying from outside UK (I’m in the US). I have a couple of questions.

Is this the correct address to send the initial application for the HSMP?

Border and Immigration Agency
PO Box 3975
Sheffield
S1 9BL

Now let say I want to send my application by FeDex or UPS, according to the guidance, I should use the address below (Please correct me if I’m wrong):

Applications sent by Courier
44. If you wish to send your application by Courier, the delivery address is:
Border and Immigration Agency
7th floor
Fountain Precinct
Balm Green
Sheffield
S1 2JA

FeDex and UPS usually require signature at delivery; I heard that people in the HSMP office are very picky. Do you believe that they will sign for my document upon receiving?

Also, can anybody tell how HSMP agents deal with the currency conversion? I’m in the US and my past earning is just at the limit of the Band £32,000+; I’m sure with a major fluctuation on the financial market, I might find myself in another band section - £29,000+.

Many thanks in advance

Hi NastyKid,

I am initiating to apply for HSMP approval letter ...i am having some doubts, expecting your valuable comments for listed queries !

1)

I am working in a Software company , and we are receiving a computer generated Payslips across months which states that ' computer generated paylsip doesnt require sign'... so it necesssary that each 12 months payslip to be dully signed and sealed from the Company ?

2)

I am already having a salary increment letter dated on 01- Jan-2007 to till this period (Gross amnt of 4.72 lacs) ....if i have such a letter to show my gross salary...Do i need to have a separate letter stating to show my gross salary ?

3)
My net salary credited / month may vary (depending upon the claming amount for medical bills etc...) ..in that case the amount in each and every payslips may vary....Does it make any problem ?

4) I am having the IT returns filed for the assement yr 2006-2007 and filed druing the month of Oct 2006..for my gross salary 3.78 lac.....after that from 01- Jan-2007 i got a hike to 4.72 lac ..so inorder to subtanciate my current salary submitting my Original increment letter would be sufficent or what ? what else i need to add in my covering letter ?

Hi vishwa ..

In the earning section they will consider Gross salary.

You need to provide original payslips with seal & sign and also this year IT returns and Bank statements with seal & sign from bank manager.

Thanks for the reply.

I have my bank statments printed on original bank statments and singned by their authorities. i don't think it need bank manager's sign

In HSMP guidance it is stated that for earnings any two proofs are needed like IT return, bank statement and salalry slips out of which I am submitting other two except IT return will they consider it?

Guys expecting your valuable opinions.

Hi vishwa ..

In the earnings section required evidence are ...

1) Income Tax Returs covering period claimed for
2) Original pay slips

You must submit the above documents , if you are not able to submit the evidence from the list above, you must have other exceptional reasons for being unable to produce the required evidence(like in some countries like saudi there is no tax system). In such cases we need to submit one of below documents.

1) original bank statemens covering period claimed for
2) letter from employer stating gross salary covering period claimed for .

If you are not providing IT returns you must satisfy caseworker why you are not submitting tax returns.

If you are confident that you can satisfy caseworker for not providing IT returns then submit remaining three evidence.

Hi Vanitha,

If you are not submitting IT returns then you need to specify exact reason why you are not providing IT returns.

The caseworker should satisfy with the reason. If you cant submit IT returns at any cost .. then submit the below ...

1) Form16
2) 12 months salary slips with sign & stamp
3) 12 months bank statements with sign & seal
4) Letter from employer certifying the salary for claimed period (ie,12 months)
