Hi everyone,
I submitted my HSMP application on 17th Dec 2007 which was received by HSMP dept on 18th Dec 07. Its 17 weeks now and I have not received any reply.
Tried calling / send email, fax but no used, they said still under consideration. Just get the same reply every time. Don’t know how long it takes.
I couldn't understand what they are verifying as my Masters from UK University, I submitted my full UK driving license as proof of my age. And my Bachelor Degree with Transcript along with UK NARRIC certificate which is comparable to UK standard Degree. And Also Submitted proof of English language letter from my University. Anyway can help what else I can do to speed up my case, as I am in touch with my employer, they said they have not received any query from HO yet. I don’t know what else.
Really frustrated don't know what to do. Can any one Help and give suggestion.
Regards,
Muhammad

Hi Friends,
I too applied for Hsmp visa on March 28th 2008. After seeing all the mails in the forum and the time taken in processing I believe I made a mistake by applying for HSMP visa at the last minute and also further by sending my original documents to HO......
Now I am really scared wether I will get my original certificates back...
|

Im waiting since last 6 months even i have got UK MSc, UK driving lcense and IELTS with 7.0. Dont know what they are doing?

Hi Folks, I have sent my initial HSMP application( from India) by courier and the same was received by their office on Mar 25, 2008 The application fee has also been charged. But till now I haven't received any reference number for my application over email or post, upon pinging to HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk, I got an automated reply saying
"due to rise in no of application your support requse cannot be actoned now"
Is there anybody sailing on same boat on mine? or anybody who can put light what could be happening?
Thanks in advance

sunoo is waiting from over 7 months, i am waiting over 18 weeks, and shahid is waiting over 15 weeks and yet there are many who go approved/rejected withing first one or two month of application. we are the remained or the 10% who couldnt be decided withing 14 wks. probably some bad luck , so we all must ask our parents to pray for us and specialy to mum and all the innocent children at home to pray for us. as when i asked them how long it can take the max, the reply was that there is not max time limit, and some ppl have been waiting since last year's march, means over 14 months. although that is rare. but i think we alreay waiting 3months and we must wait next 3 months as weel and in the mean while i tried to ask seniors, that what can we do other then waiting but go no reply.
only thing i could think of is the request your local MP to raise this issue and to inquire on our behalf, as this is only the initail stage , and then the next stage would need time as well. and all who apply for initial hsmp do have only limited visa in uk.so they must keep this in mind.if just the initial stage hsmp is taking 6-12 months and then 2nd stage take similar time then it is too lateee... so once it is over 14 weeks then contact local MP, they are pitty good for helping.
u can also goto parliment website onine to complain.home office is saying it is business but the service of this business is extremely slow..

request ur mp to look into it

Hi..,
I have applied for HSMP in JAN 2007 and received the REf no in same month but since then i have not got the approval and rejection letter and i am worried about my original certificates . I have been continuosly mailing them and keep getting the Same reply, But recently i got a mail from Hom Office that..
We contacted you recently to explain that your documents had unfortunately been damaged in the recent Sheffield flood.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and distress this may have caused, and for the delay in informing you of the status of your documents. This was due to the fact that all documents affected by the flood were sent to a specialist document treatment centre for drying and restoration. This process has now taken place, the documents have undergone a thorough cleaning & sanitisation process and though some staining may remain, we have obtained Health and Safety advice and can assure you that these are quite safe to handle. We are now returning your documents to you to allow you to obtain replacements where necessary.
Under the ex-gratia scheme operated by the Border & Immigration Agency we can consider a claim for compensation to reimburse reasonable costs incurred to replace any damaged documents. Please note that original documentary evidence such as receipts or invoices must be provided to show actual costs incurred to replace your documents. Without this evidence we cannot consider any claim for compensation.
Can anybody help me what to do in this situation ?

hi, chandu, u must consult with professional lawyer and try to sue them for damages, as duplicate can never be same as orignal. and i heard that if u get a very good lawyer then he might get u uk immigratin becoz of this grave mistake home office has done...still cannot beleive home office is so uncareful with so many orignal documents and that instead of 14 weeks they keep our orignal documents for years. and whenever we inquire, all they tell me is that ur case is with case worker.i think in addition to taking a lawyer, u should bring ur case to the attention of uk mp. from this site.http://www.parliament.uk/directories/directories.cfm
u should contact uk lord as well, this is the link:-http://www.parliament.uk/about/how/members/lords_contact.cfm
u can also start E-petition,we all will support u:-
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/
you can contact uk prime miniter , gordon brown at this link:- http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page3.asp

hi..
mycanal
thanks for ur information if know any thing regards this situation please inform me
|
two year ago, another applicant had same situtation and he put his tragic story in many papers.so atleast world can see the true cruelty and carelessness of this home office. i think u should contact the media as well. it will give u more power to negotiate with home office as well. and u should also contact as much other ppl in this respect and discuss with them all ur availabe options. and also signin and discuss in other forums as well.

still waiting like many others, i think they willl take 1-3 years in deciding, basicaly they want us to loose hope. as most uk public is against immigration. specialy non EEA immigration.best option is to also apply for canadian and australian immigration as well. who know where the luck is..
i have been waiting 19 weeks now and other have been waiting 2 years and still in the same waiting limbo..
some ppl had been lucky and got approval in few weeks and got visa in few weeks as well. i called my local mp and he said he cannot do anything.. what can we do to complain about this lengthy delay..? does anyone has any good suggestion for hsmp delay.. the worring thing is that its just the initial phase and then later on we still have to wiat for the visa phase as well. where they start all over again for verifications etc...

Hi All,
I have just read all the comments posted here and I am really worried at this stage.
I have been waiting for my HSMP approval letter for around 2 months now. Still waiting for the result.
I am feeling frustrated as I am getting onsite oppty from current company next month itself. Not sure if I will receive my documents till then.
I am not sure if I should go ahead with this oppty or not. Can I apply EC from any other country as well or do I have to return back to india. Please suggest. or else i will loose this oppty.
Also if I join any other company will it still affect my HSMP approval letter and EC process.
thanks in advance to all

I am planning to apply for HSMP for myself at the initial stage with the following documents.
1 HSMP application letter
2 HSMP form – with photograph as per prescription
3 Qualification – Original Bachelor of Commerce Degree with transcript
4 Previous Earnings
• Salary Certificate from employer
• Bonus Letter from employer
4a. Consolidated Earning calculation
12 months HSBC Bank statements showing salary and allowances being credited
4b. Salary slips from employer for 15 months
5 Age claim
• Original International Driver’s License
• Legalised Passport Photocopy with Date of Birth
6 English Language Confirmation Letter from …..
7 Degree Confirmation
• NARIC letter stating the comparability of level of education
I am planning to apply for my wife's visa later. As less documents needs to be submitted at the initial stage. If you can confirm these are enough I will go ahead and apply.
Request you to confirm that the above will suffice with for the initial processing for HSMP application.
