Topic: HSMP Approval - HELP - anybody waiting for approval beyond 11 weeks
My HSMP application was filed on April 27 and I got my reference number 3 days later.
After this I got a call from HO to my current employer 3 weeks back ( June last week ).
Just wondering how much time it will take from here to get the approval.
Is there anybody in the forum who is waiting for approval beyond 11 weeks ?
Thanks and Regards
Arun
|
Hi Arun,
I have been waiting for abt 17 weeks since i got my ref no.
|
Hi friends,
HO approves about 150 applications in a day. Only a handful of applicants sign up and track "Trackitt.com" or "Immigrationboards.com".
I wonder if all other applicants interact through any other website or do they just prefer not to socialize?
Please share your views on this.

CD

Hi, Arun
Are you and your present employer in the UK? or in India? What they asked to your employer?
|
My Employer is a big Indian software services company . Call has been made to HR Department in our chennai office . They did not disclose any information about , what HO officials asked them. But HR in my company called me up and confirmed whether I have applied for UK visa in my individual capacity.
Following that and four weeks later , I got my HSMP Approved.
Thanks for forum who provided me lot of information and support.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
Anurag, Dont do "Anurag" for the delay. I have been waiting for 9 weeks. Try to call them to know your status or email them.
Was there any verification to your employer or any other type of verification?
|
Hi,
I called them buddy , and came to know that my application is still with the caseworker.
There was no verification with my employer yet.

Can anyone please give some advice.
My application has been approved and posted back to me by airmail, 5 weeks ago.
Still havent received it.
HSMP people tell me they will only issue new letter after a total of 12 weeks, once it is classified as lost mail.
Royal mail classiefs mail as lost after 5 weeks.
All my origionals are thus missing.
What implications will this have on my Visa application?
Can someone please give advice!!!
Tired of waiting....

Hi all,
I am an HSMP aspirant.I have a really tragic story to say.
1.) HSMP Docs posted [DHL] : 6 th January
2.) Received HO : 8 th January
3.) Money got deducted : 8 th January
4.) Got Ref No : 15 th January
5.) Got mail from caseworker : 1st Feb
[for change in address, as they won't send it to your official address]
6.) Mailed with the updated address :2 nd Feb
[Home address]
7.) Docs with status letter posted from HO : 6 th Feb
[to updated Home address]
I called up HO customer care no and its communicated that my application is approved and they send back the docs on 6th February.
I am yet to receive the documents, its more than 5 weeks now.
I am bit worried and upset :-(, i called up royal airmail, UK, they told they cant trace it without the track id.
whether there is any chance of missing the documents send through air mail.if so any manner to back trace it.I have informed it at my local and head Post Offices.
I have already talked with few people from different HSMP forums who are waiting for the documents, most of their date spans from last week of jan to 2nd week of february.
To reproduce all the original certificates again might be a screaming task :-( :-(
Friends, please comment on my case.
Thanks in advance

Hi sunita,
When you call up home office, if you select the 1st option you will hear a message asking you to check the website. Instead Select the 2nd option and after a very long ring they will respond to you.
Hope this helps you.

ho hsmp dept is saying they received floods of hsmp application in last few months, therefore the processing time would be much much longer in sometime over 14 weeks or 6 months. and more applications means more ppl would be loosing their orignals as the load is much more what could they handle.so aspect more errorrs and more lives being ruined.they even cancelled all urgent treatment requests as well.its like a nightmare.
i applied for initial hsmp on 10 jan, fees deducted on 11 jan, got ref on 20 jan, but after that no progress. somtime it doest feel fair that some ppl who applied months after me got approval/decision/rej while other are kept waiting for months more and being told to wait for many next months.
wish there were more countried like uk,canada and australia who would welkome skilled immigrant so these 3 countries woudnt be so over loaded with us.
canada takes 4-5 years to decide the worst one, but accept the most ppl.
can anyone suggest what can we do bring it to the attention of ho and uk govt , to do somthing to ppl wount loose orig documetns with such carelessness.anywhere u apply with all duplicate degrees, etc ppl see you with suspicious eyes thus ruining ur chances for future jobs etc etc.
duplicates can never be same as orignal.
also if anyone could suggest me what can i do about my case , as i have be left behind waiting and being told to wait even longer then 14 weeks..??? please suggest

Its been 30 weeks waiting for me. Whenever I call I get an answer "its still under consideration"
|
HO policy is that they wouldnot disclose any progress at all until their normal processing time of 14 Week is over. so everyone must wait till 14 week is over. and bad news is that now they are saying it might take 30weeks as they are flooded with hsmp applications.but i stil see some ppl are getting approved/rej in a month or two as welll.
this the answer HO WROTE ME:-
Dear Sajid,
Thank you for your email.
In response to your enquiry, each application we receive is assessed on an individual basis. Each application may be very different and the caseworkers have to obtain
a full and clear case before a decision can be made.
In some cases, a decision can be made quite quickly where all relevant information and evidence is available. However, other cases may require further consideration and the caseworker may be required to obtain verification of certain items of evidence. This then created an unavoidable delay in a decision being made.
The caseworker team aims to make a decision on an application as quickly as possible, however in order to make a fair and informed decision, they must be possession of all relevant facts about an individual application.
I am sorry if you feel that you have been treated unfairly, however please be assured that any delay in a decision being made is sometimes unavoidable.
I hope this is helpful.

Subject: dear Sir/madam
dear sir/madam,
would you please explain that why so many of initial hsmp cases that were applied after my application were decided before me. and everytime i call i have be re-iterated to keep waiting till 14 week is over and also being told that now it might take well over 14 weeks.
while in the same months most of the other application for same , initial hsmp are being decided within first few weeks.it is quite displeasing to know that people who apply month after you get result much before you.
although i am being told that it depends on the load of caseworker, but why was my case handed over to somone who was already over-loaded with more cases then the one that were giver to somone who could take time to decide within first few weeks. it is quite a big differerece in time when we are taling about few weeks to few months or even half of the year, 6 months just for intitial hsmp, plus on top of that you add time for EC which might take another 3-6 months.
dont your think that all applicant shuld be treated fairly and rought in same time frame.
anxiously waiting

Hi Prerna
I saw that u applied from UK. Uk application take a little bit more time than usual. But 18 weeks is a lot of time. Are u a student? If so contact ur college and see if they have rec'd any verification letter from HO. Sometimes when the college does not respond it delays the case. In any case, more than 18 weeks have passed , so u have the right to information. Call HO and talk to them, be stern because if u are too polite they will just brush u off. Tell them its more than 18 weeks. If they tell u , ur application is with the case worker and u know it since long ask them if u can talk to ur case worker. Sometimes they let u talk to the case worker. Just give it a try. If u get information like "documents are with verification department or being verified" think a reason wh it is taking so long?. were ur documents not proper? u can also send additional docs u know. might process ur case faster.
best of luck

Yes - worried is right - talk to them boldly and talk straight - they are obliged to answer. Afterall it is a q' of your certificates.
I aplied in end feb and still awaiting. 14 weeks is their SLA. Anything beyond you can challenge.

Hi all,
I have submitted my hsmp work permit approval in March
and The courier traces informed me that the documents have been
delivered to sheffield on 27th March and also the amount (400 pounds)
have been deducted from credit card on 31st March.
But on April 5th I have received a mail from hsmp team
that they have received my application on april 1st only.
Kindly let me know whether I follow under the old rules

An early reply in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
I submitted my application on 31 of october and payment from my credit card ws deducted on 21 of november. if we calculate weeks from 21 of november till now, its been 20 weeks since my case is under consideration. i also have a word with my case worker too and i made offcial complain as well but situation is still there where it was.'Under Consideration'. I couldn't understand what they are verfying as my MSc is from UK, i submitted my full UK driving license as proof of my age and IELTS with 7.0 band. anyway can help what else i can do to speed up my case. Its so frustrated as i am in touch with my ex employer in pakistan and they said they havn't received any query from HO yet. i Dont know what else should i do as my student visa is likely to expire. i informed my case wroker that the person he send to verify my document should go to Pakistan by air if they send him by walk because they could be a valid reason of delay.
anyone can help here if they have any useful information to get the approval from HO?

I do call HO once or twice a week and I get same reply that its with the case officer and that some cases do take time and they cannot tell how long it will take. I kept my file through agent and he says that no inquiry has gone yet. Any ways I will try to speak to case officer directly but its not only me who is waiting for reply. there are lot others. Hi Prerna
One good thing about delays is-that it is better than refusal. Anyway u want to know about maximum time. It is about 180 days. After this if Ho does not recieve verification it is seeking they refuse the application.
Do not loose heart. U will get through. Let me know two thing 1. Are u a student right now. 2. Where is ur previous employer-Uk or other place.
Call HO again at 10am UK time. Usually customer care people at that time let u talk to case worker. I know they have already refused u,but they might allow u if u keep trying.
|
Hi WorriedMr,
Thanks for your advice. I am on WHM visa and my previous employer is from India. I know no verification has gone to them. I keep asking the customer care same thing that incase if they are waiting for somereply to their enquiry then at aleast let me know may be I can request the concern authority to speed up the reply. I will keep trying. Thanks again
Prerna
|
Hi Prerna
The customer care people will not tell u where they are verifying from. If u are a student -they will verify first from immigration dept to know about ur status say when u entered the country and if u have a legal stay right now.
For students they check with college but u said u are on WHM. are u working or u are just on holiday. If u are working are u paying tax because they do contact the tax authority. Does ur visa say u cannot work for more than certain hours. bcoz if u work more than that it could cause problems
Second they do a lot of checks on students and even on people with WHM visa. Let me not get into that. U will pass anyhow. Anyway if u are working in UK curently ask ur employer if they have rec'd anything.
