Topic: Anyone with HSMP Approval Letter applying for Tier1 after 1st April
Posted by amit35delhi (26) 10 May 2008
hi ngmn,

Since your husband is already got EC stamped in his passport, at that he must showed funds 2800GBP.. now you are planing to apply as depended visa , then i think it should be 1600GBP only,,

But tell me... when your husband applied in March 08, and he still not gone to UK, then whats the reason then he applied alone and still not gone there? why not you both apply together in March ?

and along with your all documents, your husband all paper should be attached along with his EC photo copy.... it better to consult with your consultant, and ask your husband to all the formality. I think his orginal HSMP approval letter is also required.

well best of luck.

I got HSMP Approval 4th Mar 08.I am applying for my EC next week 12 MAY 08. I have the following query regarding my EC application.

1. Do i need to fill VAF 9A 7 VAF 9B or VAF 2(old one) ?
2. If i need to fill VAF 9A & VAF 9B then i have to show maintainance requirement to get 10 more points to clear EC in that case i have only 1000 pounds in my account,my parents are sponcer for me, so can i club my parents account like fixed deposit to meet the 2800 pounds ?

Anyone please give me suggestion.I have to apply by this monday 12 May 08.Thanks

Hi Guru,

I applied EC on 8th April 2008. I got my HSMP approval on jan 23rd 2008. Please find my answers below:

1.Yes you have to fill up VAF2, VAF9A and VAF9B.
2.Coming to funds if you got ur HSMP approval before 1st april 2008 then you have to show 2800$ in ur bank acct for 3 months. IF you have a Job offer in hand then u can go ahead with 2800 pounds no need to wait for 3 months

Hey, i confirmed this with Mumbai and Chennai visa offices (Not VFS) that, even if u have job offer in hand you have to maintain 2800 GBP for 3 months. I have a mail regarding that. Have u applied for EC with job offer and not having maintenance funds?

Hi Ujjwal,

I confirmed it with VFS Officer in chennai, he told since i have a Job Offer we have fair chances of getting VISA. If you dont have Job Offer then its mandatory to show 3 months 2800 GBP. My friend applied his EC before 1st april. He didn't mainted funds for three months.

Hi Guru,
If you got ur HSMP approval after 1st april, then it's mandatory to show 2800GBP funds for three months. COming to money once you 2800 GBP arranged deposit in ur savings account and document it as ur parents are sponsring for u.

If u have job Offer in Uk then u can apply immediately with 2800 GBp funds

Hi Satheesh,

If you have JOB offer in your hand u can very well apply for EC with 2800GBP. If you dont have Job offer it's better u maintain funds for 3 months and then apply.

Hi Kedar,

Please find the answers:

1.All three forms were mandatory VAF9A , VAF9B and VAF2. If you miss any one form VISA Officer will not collect the EC docs.
2.If you have JOB Offer then you can immediately apply for EC with 2800 GBP else u need to maintain funds for 3 months.
3.You need to have accomodation arranged. If from friend then you have to get you friends information like his passport xerox, address details and bank details. Otherwise u can book hotel. Whatever u do u have to mention in the cover letter.
4.It's not mandatory to have a Offer letter in Hand. However if u can manage then it will be added advantage to get ur VISA.

You need to show 2800 on your account. VAF2 is no more valid.
You should show 2800 on your account only

I got HSMP approval on 14th Feb 08, applied for EC on 21st April, and this one is sponsored by my company as they are sending me to UK on deputation. So, they said if they show 2800 GBP balance in the companies (or sponsors) account, its enough. So, I did not show 2800 GBP balance in my bank account. I am assuming its OK. Anybody can comment on this. I am little worried about the same now. The integra verficiation was done just today. I am hoping that its a good sign. Also does anybody know how long does it take for them to send my docs back after integra verfication? Thanks

Yes it is 200 GBP or Rs. 17000 (not Rs. 17425) in India per application. So 200 GBP for main applicant and 200 separaely for dependants. Thanks.

But I read somewhere, it is 200 pounds for the main applicant and nil for dependant. Am I wrong?

hi sanjeevsanj,
i guess u r mixing new rules with old rules, as per new rules it is nil for the dependent only if both individual and dependent applications are sent together.
as per old rules, i think it is 200gbp separately.

i can only wish u all the best and hope u will get ur visa stamped. and since u r meeting all the required criteria i find no reason that u wont get stamped. so hope for the best :)

Hi to all,

I have HSMP approval letter dated 21st Jan 08.

Anybody here who have HSMP approval letter before 1st April 08 and now applied for EC, without complying the fund requirement for 90 days. Please share with your experience.

Because in my case I have 2800GBP as on 30th April08 and I’m planning to apply for EC on 15th July 08. so my funds will be only 75 days old.. that didn’t comply with 90 days rule.

Can I show maintenance funds in form of mutual fund, NSC, PPF in addition to bank balance?

Do they consider credit card also as funds?

Actually no one tells the right answer.. even VFS people are also not giving the right information.

Please help me so that I will be relax from EC application issue

bye

hi Amit

If u read new tier-1 (general) PBS guidelines
they nowhere mentioned about alternative fund
resourcing using financial instruments like u mentioned,
so safest way is to maintain min liquid 2800 GBP for 3 months
thats the safest way to avoid hassles with documentation.

u can take loan n produce relevant documents, like loan approval letter for
so n so months of course min for 3 mnths with X EMI n all stuff, after
financial co/bank credits mny to u r account.

I had submitted to VFS Delhi on 8th April and the stap date is 8th May. Collected the docs yesterday.

Following is the list of docs that i submitted.
1) All documents send while getting the work permit.
2) 3 months Bank statement
3) Bank letter stating minimum in last 3 months
4) Last 6 months salary slip.

I had submitted other docs that i had collected as additional as I was having them.
They are-
1) Letter for accomodation from friend in UK
2) His bankstatements, bills
3) Offer letter
4) Current company promotion, salary letters.

But I am sure they did not see these.

I had filled the new form VAF9A and VAF9B for myself
and VAF 10 for depandents.

Hi Amit,
DO not wait for three months period for your case .Because ,they will take one month for issuing the EC (Visa).Hence,If they give on Aug 16 , you won't be able to travel to Uk as ur HSMp letter will expire.Hence ,my best suggestion is mention this in the covering letter and apply by June 10 to 15 .
Wish u good luck.

hi mano123,
even if the hsmp letter expires and u GET a VISA, its not a problem.

the only thing we have to take care is that the hsmp approval should not expire during the time of application and processing of VISA.

Hi Mano,

thanks for reply to my post,,

But as you know that there is not need to travel UK within 6month from the date of HSMP approval letter,

6 month is only for apply for EC,, if my letter dt is 21 jan 08 ,, the I can apply till 20th July.. but in my case 20th & 19th July is holiay// so my late date to apply EC is 18th July08

You have to travel within 1 year from the date of visa stamped in your passport.

Please check this with your respective consultant

When did you apply?
Is this tier-1 according to new rules or HSMP?
Is this ontime process, means approval for tier-1 and VISA stamping?

I am applying for Entry clearance this month.

My work exp is three yrs. I have ITR returns for all the three years but for the first year, ITR form is in hindi (SARAL). The akcnowledgement stamp, that we have on ITR form, is in english with all the details (ie. Name, assessment yr, Pan num etc)

Can this be a prob? i contacted my CA and he says that it not possible to get it in english now.

OR

should i file EC with only two years of ITR return (current and last year)? your suggestion will be really helpful. Thx-SAchin
