Hello all,
Please find my timeline below:

The reason that I'm writting the form information because I've seen people getting rejection based on fund maintainence. I would like to make a humble appeal to my friend who received refusal recently to confirm if they filled up VAF2 or the new EC forms.
Regards.

Hi,
All those who applied with old rules filing up VAF2 and did not maintain 2800 over 3 months, pls be careful. There have been many cases of rejection coz of the 2800 clause. You can mail them at Chennai.VisaEnquiry@fco.gov.uk to apprise them of your concern, get a confirmation and ask them if application can be withdrawn. Its there discretion....they may allow, they may not allow.
Good Luck...

hi hsmpdude,
i justwanted to ask that do u have any idea what the integra guys asked in the bank ... the thing is that .. i m going for a personal loan to show my maintenanace fund .. and thus will be providing the 3 statement at the end of 3 months .....

Hello Sameer,
They confirm the balance in my account and when exactly the account was open.
Post that they confirm my birthdate as well.
I doubt it may pose any problem.

Hi Bindas,
Wish you good luck.
I am also planning to apply for Tier1. I have a few queries.
1. I have some money in FD in Natinoalized Bank which satisfies the 2800 Pound fund requirement. Do you have any idea whether this is acceptable to the HO? I can also get a letter from the Bank stating that the FD can be withdrawn at any time though there is a maturity date given on it.
2. Regarding the job, i am working in the field of Software Testing and is applying from india. How do you see the job market in UK now? Did you apply from UK or from india? If from India, how was the process. I have heard that its very difficult to get inteviewed when you are not in UK.
Hope you will have three yrs visa stamped on your passport.

Hi All,
I applied for my EC on 5th of may, just before 2 days of my hsmp approval expiry date.
I applied under old rules with VAF2 form and didn't show the funds for 3 months. I am maintaining the funds in my account from 25th of february nearly 70 days as on EC Application date.
By 24th of this month, I can show the 3 months funds in my account. please clarify the following
1. Can i take a latest bank statement on 24th of this month and send it to BHC?
2. Will BHC accepts the extra documents that we send after appying for EC before the decision has been taken?
I will need your valuable inputs, please send ASAP.
Regards,
Srini

Hi Srini
Where you apply for EC,, I mean.. which city, VFS.
you are salaried person or self emplyed,,?
Im self emplyed.
My case is also almost like yours…. My HSMP approval letter date is 21-01-2008, so I have to file before 20th July 08,, I am planning to apply around 15th July,
What was your HSMP approval date?
The problem is that they change rule in April end that old HSMP approval holder can file under new Tier 1 and fill VAF9A and B and comply 2800GBP for 90 days…
I have 2800GBP in my bank a/c as on 30th April 08,so I can't fullfill 90 days requirement
When I will apply on 15th July,, it will be 76 days,,
I’m planning to add my PPF a/c with post office letter confirming my withdrawal eligibility on 1st April 08 and NSC's bank letter with withdrawal eligibility on 1st April 08and also mutual fund a/c covered with bank letter that this money is readily available to me from bank. Will this work,,, if I add al the source of monet,, then I will be 10 time more then 2800GBP.
What about accommodation reservation?
Did shown reservation in a hotel or a home stay accommodation?
Please reply

Hi Govind,
Yes you can show that FD, no problems.
Regarding the job Jobs in testing field is bit tough,as they prefer contractor for testing from service company, but you can still give a try. search in www.totaljobs.com. send ur cv to consultants and track them frequently so that they will come to know u are interested.
Good luck to you as well.

Hi Amit,
I applied at VFS Hyderabad on 5th may. BHC wont accept PPF, shares, mutual funds..etc as proof of funds. The funds should be maintained in ur savings a/c for the last 3 months and balance on any date should not go less than 2800 GBP.
Regarding accomodation, I submitted an invitation letter from my friend who is in UK.
Regards,
Srini
|
hi hsmphyd,
i m also in Hyderabad , i had a few doubts ...
Is Personal Loan allowed to show the maintenance fund ???
I have arranged the fund but the thing is that as you said "balance on any date should not go less than 2800 GBP", that will be a problem in my case because out of the 3 months statement , the first month will have the initial few days on which the fund was lesser than 2800 GBP in my salary cum saving account... will it cause a problem???
Also can you provide the format/content for the University letter which is submitted for the proof of English proficiency .
It will be a great help.
regards,
Sameer
|
Hi sameer,
Yes personal loan is allowed to show the maintainance funds but you should deposit that loan amount in ur savings a/c and then show the funds for 3 months in ur a/c.
Yes, you should maintain the balance consistently for the last 3 months. how much was ur funds in the intial few days of the first month?
Generally the format of the english proficiency letter depends on the university. Just go to ur university and request for a medium of instruction letter. they will have their own format and that will do for ur visa.
Regards,
Srini
|
hi Srini,
thanks for the prompt reply :)..
My funds for the initial few days are 8000 INR :( ....then my father transferred 3 lacs on 22nd and on 24th I got 4.5 lacs from personal loan.
One more thing ... can you please tell what are the documents that are required to be stamped/signed ??
regards
Sameer Srivastava
|
hi sameer,
in that case, you should show the funds from 24th for 3 months.
you should get your payslips, and bank statements get stamped and signed.
Regards,
Srini
|
hi Srini,
thanks for clearing my doubts :)
One last thing :)
my 12 salary slips are according to my old salary structure ..
Very recently I got appraised and salary increased from 6 to 6.5 lacs.
If the Integra guys called, will this salary mismatch create a problem ??.
Although pointswise I am not gaining any points for the salary hike...
presently i m scoring 90 points..
thanks again
Sameer Srivastava

Hi Srini,
I have got HSMP with approval date 30th April, do I again need to send payslips when I apply for EC.
Which months' payslips I need to submit. I had already sent 12 payslips when I applied for HSMP.
Shall I send the same ones?
Please reply, a liner/ link will be great
Thanks

Guys ,
I got a confirmation mail from Deputy High Commission. Please read this :
"Sir,
As a general rule each single applicant will be required to produce evidence that they have £2,800 at their disposal. This money should be immediately available in sterling in the UK or there should be formal authority to transfer it to the UK. The funds should be in the applicant's name or in a joint account with a married, unmarried or civil partner. If it is in a savings account, the funds must have been held for at least 3 months. Should the money be in a current account the account must have been active for at least 6 months and show regular salary or other income in line with the applicant's stated occupation. If the money is held in trust it must be at the applicant's disposal and not administered by others.
Applicants must provide documentary evidence detailing the source of any funds that have entered their account(s) within the last 3 months, for example fixed deposits, receipts and/or legal documents relating to the sale of assets.
This is a mandatory requirement and the chances of relaxation are very remote.
Yours faithfully

Anyways those who all ready now with the above requirements , go ahead applying .......

Srini,
Then how you file for your EC without compliance of 90 days fund requirement’
I don’t think they will accept any additional documents on 24th of this month before they make any decision.
What is your thinking to get EC stamped, please let me know what happen to your case ,, because If you applied on 5th of this month.. then outcome must be around this month end.

Hi Amit,
I applied my EC on 5th as my hsmp expiry date is 7th may. I cannot meet this 90 days requirement as on that date. Vfs guys told me that i dont need to show the funds for 3 months.
Anyway i will send my latest bank statement on 25th of this month. It is upto BHC whether they accept it or not. keep my fingers crossed and wait for the result...........
Srini
|
Hi srini
What VFS guy told you about submitting additional document after filing application.
Tell me, how you will submit additional documents on 25th May,
is there any specific form to submit additional documents in an existing EC application.
Also tell me, why you fill VFA2 form to get 2 year visa, when BHC telling there are updation around April last week ,,that all old hsmp letter holder can get 3 year visa and fill VAF9A & VAF9B.
earlier they were telling that old older will have to apply only in VAF2 and we'll get 2 year visa.

Hi All,
I have recieved HSMP approval letter recently and want to apply for Entry clearance in India.
Here are my details for your information :
HSMP Applied Date: 22nd February,2008
HSMP Approval Date : 8th April,2008
Country : India
I have been trying to find appropriate information on home office and VFS's web site to apply for Entry Clearance but couldnt find so wirting this email to you. I have few doubts which I hope here I can get best answer and they are as follows:
1) HSMP approval letter states that I can apply for EC under HSMP/new PBS general. Does it mean I can apply for any one category?
2) If I can apply under PBS tier 1 (general), do I need to show funds in my account? (i.e. 2800)
3) If 2800 GBP maintance is required, can i show my FDs, NSCs,PPF, PF account details to accumulate 2800 GBP from 3 months?
4) Do I need to show any authorized letter from Banks/Post Offices which says the money is ready to use even if there is a matuarity date for each document or it is ok to supply only originial passbook/bank statements?
5) I am living in Bangalore, so where should i submit my application for entry clearance?
Looking forward to hear from you guys.

Dear Kedar,
It makes sense to wait for 3 months and keep the required minimum balance. I have enough funds in my account but not from 3 months. Also as advised Fixed Deposit should be withdrawn to your bank account and proper documents should be provided with bank statement reflecting the transaction.
No other way then waiting for such long 3 months and then apply for EC. I hope they dont change the 2800 rule again in 3 months. Fingers Crossed :-)
Regards,
Amit
|
Dear Amit
they ll not change......if they ll change it l b intimated or
procedural arrengment ll b made....
just look at GBP is getting stronger...compared to in dian rupee....

Hi,
I got the approval on April 22 2008. Which rules I have to follow for applying EC?
Please give me some clarity as I am so confused.
Thanks
Vamsi Krishna

Hi Sameer,
Don't tell your company people on your VISA, you can tell them u want sign and seal in your last 12 months pay slips...and tell them u are applying for loan in your home town...some thing like this.

Hi Ravi,
I am planning to apply for tier1. I am also into software testing.
Can you tell me abt the possibility of getting good jobs in testing in UK?
Regards,

|
Guys,
Economy is not good and might be going bad in coming months .... currently USA is going through recession and UK and other countries are already feeling heat. So please plan well before you leave your job. Mantra at these times is "Hold on to your current Job till market is better". Also i have heard many people face heat from employer during verfication process as HSMP people call the companies HR to verify. Word passes from HR to ur Manager and things go soar.
I am not discouraging anyone but i think people need to do reality check before they jump other boat. UK is very expensive (specially if u from india .. i m from USA) and also london is financial hub which is greatly hit by mortgage crisis.
Safest will be coming to UK through current employer in india ... but if you are good in your field and have unique experience you can find one soon. Make sure to talk to any of ur friends in UK and know the market ... i did the same.
All the very best to all !

Hi khmpr,
Have you maintained 2800 GBP from 3 months?
You have shown FDs and I want to know if you included FDs to accumulate 2800 pounds or you just supplied FD as an extra fund. If FD was part of 2800 pound is there any letter from bank you have shown?
I am in a stage where my FD can complete 2800 pound maintainence from 3 months otherwise i have to wait for 3 months to apply for EC. Can you please guide me on this?
Thanks in advance,
Amit

I am happy to know that you got EC clearance, but at the same time i am surprised to see that you didn't show 2800GBP for 3 months.
Can you please tell me what are all the documents you submitted for EC ? (especially for maintenance requirement funds and for how many months you showed)
It would be really helpful for me if you can provide those details.
Cheers,

All,
Following is the reply from BHC regarding maintenance of RD:
Quote:
Please be informed the recurring deposits are not acceptable. The funds have to be liquidated and deposited your savings account and held for 3 months before you lodge your visa application.
As a general rule each single applicant (HSMP) as of 1st April 2008 will be required to produce evidence that they have £2,800 and £1600 for each dependant at their disposal.
If you do not satisfy the above requirement, your application is likely to be unsuccessful.
Unquote
Since RD is not acceptable same should apply to FD also.
Good Luck....
