Topic: HSMP approval from UK- tier I general application for leave to remain
Posted by hopehmspl (8) 25 Mar 2008
Hi,

i had received a hsmp approval in January, but have applied for my leave to remain only in March. The leave to remain application has been made on tier I - General form. The application has been made from within UK.

I wanted to check with anybody else who had made similar application and now received approval for the leave to remain - what is the processing time? Alternatively, would appreciate if you could tell me when you had applied, even if you are still awaiting a response.

Thankx

[A] I believe it was due to the bank holidays in between, I think you should get the letter in a day or two. While my ref letter was dated 14th I got the letter on 18th, my guess is you would have received yours by now or definitely in the next two days.

Hi, just to update, i have recived a ref no on mar 27, but it is dated march 20. it mentions that we should not contact till 28 days on status of the application. is there anyone who can confirm having received the leave to remain approval in 28 days under the tier I application.

i posted my application for leave to remain under tier 1(general) on 26th march, and received reference number by post on 31st march, but in letter date is mentioned 27th march, i believe tier 1 process is quick as compare to HSMP.
but no idea whether case worker is assigned or not.
I want to apply for urgent treatment , but customer service team saying that there is no provision for urgent treatment. is there any way to apply for urgent treatment.

Thanks

Can someone please answer a few queries regarding Tier -1 (general migrant) initial application.

I have following concerns:

1)In the recently introduced PBS they have asked for one to have a minimum of 2800 Pounds + 1600 pounds for each of the dependants. I wonder whether one can have a joint account with the necessary funds. Will this be considered appropriate for the individual to have the available funds in the joint account with some other individual e.g. mother?
2)Are the fixed deposits are considered as available funds?
3)Can the dependant himself or herself have the required amount of 1600 pounds in his or her name?
4)Is it necessary to get the certificate from NARIC for the claiming points in the education column?

I hope I am not asking for too much.

I Seek your valuable guidance for this.

Sincere regards

Dr. Harcharan Singh

I wonder whether one can have a joint account with the necessary funds. Will this be considered appropriate for the individual to have the available funds in the joint account with some other individual e.g. mother? I HAD SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION WITH BANK STATEMENT OF A JOINT ACCOUNT. IT WAS APPROVED, SO I THINK THIS SHOULD BE FINE.
2)Are the fixed deposits are considered as available funds? I HAD SUBMITTED A SAVINGS BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENT. ON CHECKING WITH THE BIA TEAM, THEY HAD SAID THAT THE FUNDS SHOULD BE EASILY ACCESSIBLE ON DEMAND WITHDRAWN. YOU MAY NEED TO SHOW THE SAME. ONE POSSIBILITY IS TO BREAK THE DEPOSIT PARTLY, AND CREDIT YOUR CURRENT ACCOUNT TO DEMONSTRATE THAT.
3)Can the dependant himself or herself have the required amount of 1600 pounds in his or her name? YES THE DEPENDANTS BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENT CAN BE USED FOR THIS.
4)Is it necessary to get the certificate from NARIC for the claiming points in the education column? IT IS NOT NECESSARY, BUT ADVISABLE. IT COST ONLY ABOUT £35, AND THEY GIVE OUT RESOPNSE IN 2-3 WEEKS.

dear hopehsmpl

I would like know whether the joint account was with one of the dependants or the third person?

I would greatly appreciate the response.

Hi !!

I want to apply for HSMP visa. I have my wife as dependent. I have completed all the documents for myself. Documents of my wife are still pending.

I have following doubts

1) whether I need to apply for my wife's visa at HSMP initial application stage, or only at the time of EC stage?
2) If at HSMP initial stage, what are the documents of my wife, i will require to submit ?
3) Is it advisable to apply for her visa at the time of HSMP initial application, or at the time of EC.
4) Is it advisable to first lend there alone and then call dependent after us

Regards

Mehol

Some queries reg hsmp
1) I have maintained 2800 GBP for 3 months ie, may , june, jul 2008.But in May i have 900 GBP for a period of 5 days i.e, 22may to 27 may. Will this be OK to carry on??? Or will this have any objections? I am planning to apply in the 1st week of Aug 2008

And for the maintenance funds, I have got the onternet bank statements and all of them are singned & sealed by the Bank authorities. So is it enough or do i need to have any letter from the bank to certify abt the balance for 3 months?

Hi hrramesh
I think you are calculating your maintainance fund from 27th of may. I think internet statement signed and sealed should do.

Hello letmec2006,
That means for the maintenance funds we need to have min 2800 GBP on all the 90 days prior to the application date?
So in my case do i need to submit my application on 27th of Aug or can i do it on 1st week of August?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by letmec2006 (4) 25 Jul 2008
Yes hsramesh76
you have to show funds for 3 months. your internet statement should be autheticated by the bank according to the guidance (see Tier 1 Policy guidance Page 31 Document required 1 or/and 3).
Your application date should not be more than 7 days after your statement, if you are applying from any other country than the Uk.

Hi
All i am in a deep trouble , pl help me in this regard,Currently i am in UK under WP>

i have a vaild HSMP letter & had applied for leave to remain as a Tier1(general) Migrant with my recent bank statement .
after waiting for 2 months i got back saying that funds are not appropriate & disqualified my application , since i am applying from UK i need to show 800£ for 3 months .
The documents i provided had a valid proof, how can i appeal on the same , how long will it take??

Next month i am travelling to india , if i apply form VFS can i show my bank statement of UK as well as india & inaddition to this what all the docs i need to produce .

Is there any consultant in UK who can help in applying my FLR & get it done with in 2 weeks , i have already waited for 2 months
Now i am running short of time

Pl advice

hi
the mistake i did is , i forgot to keep the covering letter . anyway now is there anyway i can do urgently from Uk , if i go to india its long process
(reply) (report this)
Posted by letmec2006 (4) 29 Aug 2008
Hi
If you want to apply for LTR again it may take around 20 days when you send valid reason for the urgent treatment. However it is not guarenteed. Do you not have right to appeal if you have your maintainance fund and provided the evidence properly and go to India. How long is your WP valid.

hi
rao
Applying for FLR when you are already in UK is a much easier than applying in india , you need to produce last 3 months bank statement having 800£ consistently , for you & any number of dependence the fee is same 350£ . Dont miss to include a cover letter along with Bank statment.

Download FLR application & apply right now ,it is taking 2-3 months

regrds,
Dinu

Hi Oneforall,

applied like what? your initial application was from india and then later applied from UK? or you had your funds moving between saving and checking?
please someone help? my statements and letters would become a month old if i dont apply next week,

Also i am giving statement from state bank of india as additional funds, they are making me cry, they dont have anything like a letter head, its like a xeroxed form. the stamp is okay, but the idoit manager wrote the wrong amount. Besides they are not willing to give the actual minimum balance between last 3 months. It is so difficult to get anything from india while sitting in UK.

tiertier1, I have applied from UK with statements from both savings account and flexi saver account. In my savings account I dont have a minimum of 800 pounds for exactly 3 months - so I had sent the flexi saver account statements as well for support. I will get back on this when I have any update on my application

Hi tiertier1, as promised - I did get thru the process. You just need to have the required funds in any type of account for minimum 3 months. As mentioned earlier I had supplied both my savings account and flexi saver account statement as I had doubt whether they may reject if they just check on savings account, but clearly thats not the case.
