Topic: Help!! What date is considered for processing time?
Posted by unknown (4) 09 Nov 2007
My attorney mailed my i140/i485 application on July 26, 2007. USCIS received it on 07/27/07. I797 notice had the actual dates both processes. But when checked case status online, it states that my application was received on September 21, 2007. I called the USCIS today and the rep told me that they go by Sept. 21 date.

Does anyone know whether that's true? If not, what can I do to align the actual date with the date that shows online?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

No - it's physical receipt date

At least that's what I've heard on this and numerous forums

Same situation here (receipt date Aug 13, website showed Oct 10 date). Called right away. Rep transferred call to IO, she told me that they go by the date on the receipt ; so don't worry, the Oct date is just the date your info was uploaded to the computer.

Regards.

Looks like Nationality is also impacting processing times in NSC. Most of the old cases are pending from India. Is nationality should effect 140 processing.

I don't think that it's anything to do with nationality to be honest - bear in mind that a very very small % of cases are on Trackitt, also that a lot of applicants are from India, this would IMO give a slanted result
