You have done an awesome job. I greatly appreciate your efforts. Could you also add another field if case is stuck due to Security Check/Background Check/Domestic Investigation? I know for sure my case is pending due to Security Check.

My I140 was filed Dec 11, 2006. I got an RFE 11/20/2007. Don't know what it is about yet.

Thanks Geeecee for your input..Heard that NSC has been slow. Observed that few 2006 filers got approvals recently after their first LUD in 2006. Of course, fewer numbers had RFEs.

I would like to share some useful information I found today while searching about security check today... if your case is pending for an unusual time, it is because of the FBI security review. Some people use the term "name check" -- which is incorrect. Once again, security review is more elaborate that name check.

Thanks for sending out this link. On a similar note, we get to hear that people who have filed SR for their pending cases, have heard similar feedback from USCIS. 'You case is under Review' is a common phrase in most emails that USCIS has sent in response to SR. This was in my case, too. Of course, the wait time that they mention varies from case to case.

Please put your comments on SR so that we know generally where these cases stand under review (security check- maybe). And of course any further updates if your hear something in the next few days.

I did see a soft LUD on my case on 12/02/2007. The infrmation on the website has not changed. Can any body guess what that means?
Hi 140 May can you please post what kind of LUD you have?
Congrats GrCa2006 on the approval of 140. Did you get a soft LUD too or was it a approval notice directly? I am just curious.

I had just soft LUD without status message change hopefully this will be for an approval....some people who soft lUD after 1 1/2days they got approval emails ...so we will hope that our cases also similar like them.

LUD would indicate some work on your case - it can be RFE, Approval or just nothing on surface at least like mine that has been there since a year now!. But recent LUD's are likely to indicate some positive action after such a long wait. We also saw approvals in the past without any new LUD/status change in several cases like Quizzer's.

There was one more from TSC but cannot remember the profile!? Don't feel left out:) As you mentioned unusual delays could be due to additional security review imposed on some cases, and it has nothing to do with Service centers. Since NSC had been overloaded with cases this year, understandably unlike TSC they had more overall pending ones.

We have to track also how many filed SRs. This will help us gather general USCIS email responses and the wait times. Updated mine above.

Thanks for the suggestion to include the SR information. I did an SR on 21st Nov 2007 (When I attempted to do a SR by my self on 26th of Nov 2007, the USCIS staff mentioned that there was an SR already on my case. My attorney did it in fact). I request other members to inform if the LUDs were seen after the SR or without contacting USCIS at all.

Thanks for your input. Your SR info is appended below, too. We have to attach the last LUD here and it could be following the SR. But I have not heard anyone getting this including me. However, people did get emails from USCIS in response stating the wait time and the cause of delay which is generally common - 'Your case is under review'. Did you get a similar email forwarded to you by your attorney or employer?

I just spoke with my employer ...immigration specialist...she said she opened SR on my behalf today morning....so lets see if SR for NSC will work out for me :-)

we should keep this list in a order--- desc order...many in this list doesnt have year written..so confusing.

This list has only the 2006 filers so filing year was not listed. Year only comes in when anything happens in 2007 via LUD/Status update/Email, etc..

SR opened for my I140 petition at TSC on 11/07/2007...

Got email confirmation from my lawyers office - " Today I called the National Customer Service Center and spoke to a representative with site ID 216LM (Andrea). I explained that the original receipt date was 10/03/06 and that case is outside of the normal processing time at the Texas Service Center. The representative gave me a very hard time about my request and kept asking if we had received the letter regarding our request to upgrade to Premium Processing. I said that we had received notification but it is a mute point because Premium Processing was postponed until further notice and that we need to place a referral on the pending application because it is outside of the current processing time. The representative finally agreed and placed a referral. We should receive a response within 60 days. If we haven't received a response by January 7, 2008, then I will call back."

Noticed that some of us had our cases touched within a month of filing as shown in LUD, then left pending. Probably sent for Security Review.

Yes, what is the security reason?
We saw LUD on January 2007, but nothing since then. FYI, our case is approved under EB3 and now we try the EB2. Is this affecting?
