Topic: I-485 processing date current, I-140 pending
Posted by ivandean (32) 02 Mar 2008
I have I-140 at TSC and I-485 at NSC. They were filed concurrently. As we all know the I-140 at TSC is slow in moving fwd and based on I-485 processing times at NSC, they are moving towards Aug 2007 in processing, so I hope to see at least some good news that NSC is processing I-485 applications from my filing time frame. As well my PD is becoming current, so have questions:
1. if IO which gets my I-485, can they ask for I-140 processing (if still pending) or will they just put my I-485 application on side until the I-140 is processed?
2. as my PD is becoming current, can that speed up processing of my I-140?

any insight or similar experience?

TIA

How come NSC processing I-485 of Aug 2007? Your profile says EB3?

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC

The last date processed for employment based I-485 is July 30th 2007. So it is pretty safe that NSC is processing Aug 2007.

I am just reading the information that is available

I thought i140 should be before i485 as well, but my i485's approved while i140's still pending as a matter of a fact. They were filed concurrent and both in TSC

Bli is from Taiwan. so his/her I-485 wud get approved in record time.

Bli: Is ur EB3 or EB2? cos EB2 is current for ROW, whereas EB3 ROW is at Nov'05

Bli: did ur _485 get approved already with ur pending I-140??? Ur last post did not make any sense.

Same boat ivandean....EB2....concurrent filer with priority date current and yesterday 03/03 I-140 got transfered to NSC. I know that at NSC current processing date for I-485 is July 30th 2007 while I-140 is lagging. So I called lawyer immediately, he said, my case is concurrent so this makes sense, and that in order for I-485 to be worked on they needed to ensure that I-140 is approvable. So I asked does this mean the I-140 will be approved....he said keep your fingures crossed....Lets hope for the best.

Got my Green Card Yesterday. However my I - 140 is still in pending status. Form the posts here it looks like few such cases existed earlier also. My spouse recd her EAD and AP, however no update on her 485 status. If someone faced a similar situation, can you please let me know how much time it took for the I - 140 status to get updated and your dependents to get Green card ?
