Topic: July-2nd Filing TSC
Posted by sheker2007 (166) 12 Apr 2008
RD dates messup.

Confusion over the recieved dates.I applied on July 2nd.

On my reciept RD July,2nd and ND AUg 30.
Online status showing RD Aug 30 and ND AUg 30th.

How come two different RDs in my case ?
Any body in the same boat ???

There is a glitch in the online USCIS system. The online RD of Aug 30 is in error. Your RD is July 2. Customer service reps always try to go by online RD so they can more easily brush you off and get you off the phone. You should be able to talk to an IO about your case since your RD is more than 30 days outside of the Aug 17 processing dates.

What's online RD, and where can I find this. Please advise.

I mailed my application on Aug 15th 2007 to TX. I received I797C with RD marked as Aug 16th, and ND marked as Oct 12th.

Online status (http://www.immigration.com/frame/usciscasestatusservonlinefr.html) reads " On Oct 12th we received the application, and is with Nebraska service center.

Did you have similar case ?
Is there a field reading RD online, or is it implicit from the comment above ?

Yeah, that's exactly the problem. Online status gives the notice date as the receive date. Quite annoying really. The customer service reps always seem to take the ND as the RD when you talk to them. My RD is July 19th and the ND is Sept 11 I think.

I have an extremely simple case. Canadian RN filing under schedule A in a shortage field (no LC required). My education is from a U.S. college, so no issues there either. Should be totally cut and dried yet still waiting after almost 9 months at TSC. NSC is even worse. Very frustrating to say the least!!! I think many are in the same boat.

Whenever i call USCIS they are reading Aug30th as RD.
Actually Aug 30 is ND on my original Reciept.Looks this is like USCIS irresponslible and uneducated policy.
I think legal fight can help for these situations.

Since July 2nd is my RD on reciept they have to process mine before Aug 15th as per thier processing dates.
Need strong advice from experts.....

I just verified my Online status RD is not matching even with Reciept's ND and RD.
Also PD is missing from the Reciept.

From the reciept :
Recieved date :July 2,2007
Notice Date :August 31,2007
Priority date :Mot mentioned

Online Status :
On August 30, 2007, we received this I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

As many are pointing out, even if you get past the CSRs on the phone and get to an IO, they may end up either:

1) Telling you that you are only the beneficiary and so they can't give you any information.

2) Opening up a service request which may result in a ridiculous RFE that could be a problem.

At this point, I personally think it is better to just sit tight and wait. I and my husband have EAD and AP, so we are pretty much OK. We want to buy a house, but the bank won't lend us money until our I-140 is approved Also my husband doesn't want to invest too much money in his new business due to uncertainty in case our I-140 gets denied for whatever reason, so obviously waiting is holding us back somewhat.

Limbo,

You are correct.

Whenever i call i am getting same answer as you mentioned. They are suggesting employer need to call instead of beneficiary. Some times they are reading online status AS IS.
