Topic: very few approvals today
The last few days have been very slow, and today it almost completely stopped. It's like a broken car.
And nobody cares? Except to make sexist and racist remarks?

Its happened to me too more than once ! But considerate colleagues just give me a sympathetic eye and murmur in hushed tones "Poor guy is stuck in the greencard process" :) |

Patiphone, believe me - EVERYBODY cares... but what do you propose? How long have you been in "immigration car"? Don't you know how broken it is? What do you want us to do? Of course we can turn 10 more threads into "India vs ROW" debate... - do it, if it will make you feel better. I guess you learned now playing "racist" and "sexist" cards ;)
No approvals - so no approvals. but it's nice weather (right now), so I guess I have no other choice but just to take some friends and go fishing for weekend. Screw approvals (for now) - let's see what next week will bring us. |

Don't worry many people thing country of citizenship = Race. They are just emotionally confused. There are lots of mention of people of from India and ZERO reference to Bagaladesh, Pakistan (which are the same 'race') - so there is no racism going on.

bestia, you missed the sarcasm in my post:) I said "if indians shouldn't..." To make it very clear, I am all for well-defined, streamlined immigration process AND I am also for more realistic per-country cap. to me, STATIC 7% cap for all countries of the world is arbitrary and unfair. it does not take into account demand & supply (which varies with time), population count, education, skill set etc

I was checking the approvals in Trackitt . It seems that the EB3 approvals both for India and ROW has almost come to a screeching halt in the past 2 days . EB2 AND EB1 seems to have picked up though there are few approval from ROW .
Things will work out for everyones benefit . Just wait and it will be our day . Waiting one more year should not be a problem as we have been already waiting for 10 years.

No we could not . Everytime my position was eliminated before I 140 could be filed or before labor approval came thru..
I have no regretts now though . I have an approved 140 eb2 row with a current PD { PD JUNE 07} . My wife has an approved 140 WITH eb3 ROW with PD OF SEPT 05.
Hoping for the best !!
