Topic: Sent back RFE response and got a new online message.
Posted by ravoranges (120) 09 Aug 2007
Guys,

I just sent back the RFE response to the TB skin test and they have updated my online status. The time from receiving the response as stated by FEDEX to changing the case status was four days.

According to the message I should recieve a response in 60 days. Does this mean I'm close?

Here's the message...

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On August 9, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done.

I apologise for not adding that information.

i485 RD 03/26/07 ND 03/28/07 FP 04/17/07 LUD 04/18/07 07/16/07 08/09/07

RFE issued 07/17/07 RFE sent to TSC 06/08/07 RFE acknowledgment 08/09/07

I'm from England so should be in the RoW and EB2 category.

I just thought that the comment about 60days seemed promising.

Any further insights?

Thanks,

rav_oranges

I had same update to my case upon receiving my response to the RFE, I had RFE similar to yours for TB skin test. The way I interpret the following lines "unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done" -

as to if we have completed all the steps in the 485 such as finger printing, namecheck, Receipt date priority and then if theere are available visa numbers for applicants PD date we can safely assume that you are close to getting your GC.

From my understanding of the whole green card process and by looking at your stats I firmly believe that you should get your approval pretty soon like a lightning. Keep your eyes open for it. I bet that it will surprise you in coming few days if not hours. Good luck and enjoy your freedom once its in your hands.

Hi Guys,
I have had thes same RFE back in April with exact same message. Since then it is just quiet in my case.

Just for everybody: I am just wondering that if name check is for national security, isn't it a better idea to expedite it so those people are not living among us ... this was just a thought , but I think this green card process is taking it's effect on me...

Good luck to everybody

I really hope so.

I can understand the frustration of everyone here, and the black hole of knowledge of the process that we have to go through.

As soon as I hear anything I'll report back to the board.

I will have to try and resist the temptation to check the USCIS website every two minutes.

Just to be clear, Fedex said it got there Monday, Thursday was the online notice that USCIS had got it and today (Friday) I got another LUD.

I'm going to try and forget about this till Monday now. Nothings going to happen over the weekend.

Hey JPGale,

Did you get the 60 day decision message too? If so have you thought about following up as they say that a decision should be made in 60 days?

Well I just tried calling again, and this time I got to Texas, everything is clear I am just awaiting a visa number and someone to pick up the case.

Great news JPGale, both for yourself and selfishly for me.

This may mean that the general trend is that the 60day message is reasonably correct and that if you get to this stage.. you're close.

Here's hoping and good luck.
