I know if you are on H1 you can get married and use H4 and then add her on your petition.
But does anyone know if you can get married when you are on EAD? If yes what do they need as marriage documents?
My lawyer said if INSDIE US, you can apply 485 for her! any idea?

Yes, you can marry. Yes, it's BETTER to be inside. Another option - you can reinstate your H1 and sponsor her H4.
You need marriage certificate. Just be careful, this "pre-approval" marriages are suspicious and USCIS will want proof that it is "bona fide" marriage. Meaning they will ask for photographs, videos, details about when you met, how long you have been together, why decided to marry now, etc. etc. - you have to be ready to answer all that.

if your PD stay current she can apply 485 once she arrive. Since you're on EAD she can't get H4, I sugguest come on vistor visa then marry here. It will be more difficult to show non-immigrant intention after marriage.

[1] - marriage that happens just before someone is about to get green card (easy way to make $10-20 grand for some).
[2] - you get marriage license, then you marry and get marriage certificate
[3] - in Las Vegas - yes :) everything can be done in an hour or two. |

not just vegas, you can marry easily in other state by going to city hall or chapel on the same day. Just make an appointment, and you don't even need witness for confidential marriage certificate. All you need is passport.

i belive there is 3 day wait period between Licence and actual wedding in other states,, but in vagus u can do it in hrs :)...
