Topic: System updates 8/12 Sunday?
Hi! Got an email today Sunday from CRIS that my I-140 approval notice was sent. My lawyer had actually gotten the notice after premium processing weeks ago (I didn't). Also got an update today on my I-131 with no system change. I am pleasantly surprised with all this activity but was wondering if anyone else has been getting all these updates today on their cases? So I was thinking maybe all these are due to a system update? Whatever it is, I am glad there is movement...
Also, can somebody tell me if anybody has had any LUD on their I-485 just prior to receiving their RFEs? After I-140 has been approved, has there been anybody here who still had RFE's?

sharkmd, I just noticed 8/12/07 LUDs on my I-140 (pending) and I-131 (pending). The prior LUDs on both were 7/13 (I think that's when they were entered into the system). They have not touched my other two applications, I-765 (adjudicated, LUD 8/8/07) and I-485 (pending, LUD from the day after FP - 8/6/07). Seems like they've touched what hasn't been touched in the past 1 week and hasn't been adjudicated yet so hopefully they are working on these cases. I got a LUD too on my I 140 and I 131 today (08/12)...Didn't get any email yet from CRIS.

Today(08/12), I saw on LUD change on my 131 with no other change in details. My 140 had been approved a month back.

Just looking at the cases here, it seems like a lot of people are getting updates today. Seems like a system-wide thing. I wonder though how often these things happen? I didn't seem to notice it the last 2-3 weeks. Does it happen monthly?

I got an LUD change for I-131( pending) and I-765 (card production has been ordered)on 08/12, I thought it was just for me but after reading the forum its looks like abatch process. I am not sure if its a system wide or was based on some criteria?

hopefully we'll get case status changes soon as it doesn't seem like they touched absolutely everything but just some specific documents and at least in my case, i can find the the logic (see my prior post) - they only touched the next thing on their plate (my I-140 and I-131) - my I-765 has been approved and was not touched and my I-485 cannot be approved w/o the I-140 so it wasn't touched either. Perhaps if somebody's I-140 has been approved and touched again, it is a good indication that they may be looking into it in connection w/ I-485. Please post here if anybody w/ a LUD of 8/12 gets a change in status over the next week or so.

On 08/12 I got LUD change on my denied I-140 and updated status message to: "We mailed you a decision on June 6." which is the date of denial. Also LUD changed on MOTIC but no message update.

Yes, I got some approvals. The I-140 got approved today, and the I-765 got approved on the 9th. My RD for the I-140 is 04/11/07. Looks like things are going now.

I hate to dash you hopes but these massive LUDs at TSC on weekends since July 7 have absolutely nothing to do with being a good sign, a bad sign or any sign at all related to processing of your applications. Online case status database on USCIS website is only a copy of actual CLAIMS3 database adjudicators are working with. Apparently, synchronization of web database with CLAIMS3 is not very reliable. Even on this forum, you can find many stories when online case status was out of sync with the real case status. For example, online status would still show "Case received and pending" for people with approval notices in their hands. Apparently, TSC decided to fix this problem of stale messages starting with all I-140 and AP on weekends, with the oldest cases receiving massive LUDs on July 7 and going by the year of approval/denial and finishing by the most recent pending or decided cases on 8/12. I think they are now done with all 140 and AP and, perhaps, either EAD or 485 will start receiving massive LUDs next weekend. The only good sign of these LUDs is that your online 140 and AP status should now match your actual status in CLAIMS3. Is there anyone on this forum whose online status for 140 and AP at Texas is still out of sync with reality?

I suspected as much. Especially as I was looking at all the trackers and there seemed to be a lot of updates. I hope you don't mind my question, I have been looking at the forums and you have lots of relevant and important information that have been helpful to people here, are you a lawyer by any chance? Or close ties with the USCIS ;). Trackitt should give you a whole section for FAQ's. But thank you for all your valuable input, I am sure I am not the only one who appreciates your help.

Status of my I-140 and AP has always been in sync, yet I got LUDs. Also some posters on immigrationportal.com reported no LUDs on I-140 approved in 2005 or 2006. But do agree that these massive LUDs were a system thing (probably some automated scripts ran over weekends) that are not related to processing of I-485s.

I have got a call from CIS Ombudsman office on Sunday 8/12. All they said I already knew,. and there was nothing they could do to help me in any way, but they work on Sundays !
It's nice to see them putting an extra effort, but I just do not see what good they do except pay themselves some overtime.

Someone in this thread suggested that we report back if there was any activity on cases updated last August 12. MY AP which had an update on 8/12 just got approved today. Anybody else have the same thing happen to them? I think most of us got I-131 and I-140 updates.

After my 8/12 LUDs on I-140 and I-131, I saw a LUD on I-131 on 8/22 and then the approval came in last night, 8/24. I think the cases with recent mass LUDs may have been tagged by some criteria - either pending approval or providing basis for approval of other applications (e.g. an approved I-140 had a LUD b/c it was looked at in connection w/ a pending I-485).. who knows - let's keep each other posted on developments post these mass LUDs.
