Topic: Got weird email from CRIS
Posted by Toki (35) 30 May 2008
I just got an email from CRIS which is update on my already approved H1B.I am no longer with that company as I started working for another company using my EAD since last two months. Has anyone had this problem?

Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER
Current Status: Case reopened or reconsidered based on USCIS determination, and the case is now pending.
We reopened this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER on May 29, 2008, and are now reviewing our earlier decision. We also mailed you a notice describing the next steps in the process. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Our review should be completed within 30 days. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.

Company which filed for your H1 B petition probably revoked it if you are not working for the same company. My friend had same situation.

Seems like your old company A cancelled your H1-B.

vbaasa is rite. Your previous company might have been revoked the H1b approved through them. It happened with me too. no need to worry.

Did you reply anything back to USCIS when you got the letter or just ignored?

Thanks,

You wont receive any letter, only your previous company/lawyer will receive it. It is a normal process of a employer to revoke the H1B once the person left the company. As long as your current work status is valid no need to worry about the previous one.
