Waiting for my card to arrive. Ordered 05/31/08 and waiting.
Is there a way to track that? like if it's ordered then what's happening to it?
If you are in same situation as mine then please join this thread! if not then also feel free for any updates.

Congratulations buddy!!! I am so so so happy for you. I remember when you had a little "monkey problem" two and half months ago. :))))))) when some baboon pushed a wrong button.
I am glad that you finally got all greened up.

Don't worry about your card. Everybody is experiencing delays. You should get it soon.

Thanks man for remembering about the baboon! that's history, hopefullChy. Hope the baboon has not created any issues for the card now. Can he? Worry yea..just anxious man! need to travel thru work and then vacation, alas!! need one specially now!
This delay is worse than the entire process. Tell me if I'm wrong. Not sure how to track what part of my card is printed.
But gotta wait man.

Yeah.... Texandude... I remember your baboon problem very well. That day I way camping out at my mailbox waiting for my GC :))))))))))))
I was greened up few days before and I didn't go to the work for several days due to my mailbox camping activities..... :))))))))
Then all of a sudden you posted about your "baboom problem".....:))))
I think that the day that you had the baboon problem I actually received my card in the mail box:))) and got pinked up (the hologram on the card can get pink under light)....

The very first email that I got out of blue on April's fool day (April 1st) was "card production ordered" email.
When I looked at the post mark on the envelop that contained the green card, it showed that the enveloped was mailed 4 days after that card production order.
I got the mail the next day after if was posted. I live in TN and TN is not that far away in Texas so the mail came in a day.
But that was 2 months ago. I have seen recently that Texas has problem with printing cards on time. It took about 3 weeks for another friend of mine to get her card. If you call TSC they will actually tell you that they are a bit behind the card production schedule. So don't worry green dude :))))) |

I called once and talked to a very nice officer. He said I should get it within 30 days. He was quite nice so I did not piss him off with many questions. Then he goes Congratulations! I was like thanks!.
You got pinked quite fast. That's good. Yeah TSC has approved many cases in a jiffy latley. That's good though.
I'm booked to fly to Canada..work related man and then I planned to meet some friends. I was thinking I will travel on AP but after approval things have changed. I called for IO appointment but they said that they might not stamp I 551 as my card will be mailed soon unless I have an emergency and I can show one. I did not call again thinking that I should get the card soon.
Will see on Friday and Saturday or else I have to postpone the trip. It's quite important as I'm suppose to lead a project.

Card production ordered: May 28, 2008 (USCIS online)
I-485 Approval (mail): May 29, 2008
As of 06/13: NO CARD...
It's been 12 business days now... I am worried because others got it in 7-10 days.

Yes, my card is from TSC. I am just worried the card is lost or...God forbid... something else happens with my approval. :(

Dude, Once it's approved it's pretty much a done deal. They are delying it as they are behind as per everyone's suggestion.
I dont think so you should worry about the case itself as they do a deep scan and go over all of the docs before approving it.
So if your case is approved the officer must have gone thru everything and then only would have approved it.
Yes, this delay of recieving the card itself sux!!! but then we don't have a choice except sharing our experiences here.

Approved on 6/11, still haven't got any email about 'Card production ordered' or 'welcome permanent resident'. May be its too early still, the count is on.................................

Allright guys. Here's an update!
I called TSC and asked what's happening. She told me that cards ordered with reciept notice EAC are having problems in the system to print BIOMETRICS on the card and it should be resolved soon.
My question to ppl on this thread.
Is your reciept with EAC mine is yes.
Please respond for a quick survey here. EAC is the word of the day :)

If your receipt number starts with:
EAC - It is being processed at the Vermont Service Center
WAC - It is being processed at the California Service Center
LIN - It is being processed at the Nebraska Service Center
SRC - It is being processed at the Texas Service Center
It seems that they have some server problem. They have problem with transferring the biometric data that was originally in Vermont office. It should be solved soon. Al least this is my understanding.
I got my card pretty quickly two months ago because:
1) It was two months ago :))))) and things were different in the good old days :)))))))))))))))))))))))))
2) My receipt started with SRC. |

Card Production Ordered is the only email you get. The other email you get is "Approval Notice Sent" email. THere was some speculation that this is sent out when the actual card is posted. But, I do not think that is the case. |

Well, my case was initially sent to NSC, last year, then it was transfered to TSC as I'm in TX and 'm a dude hehe!
But 485 remained EAC thruout. That's what the officer told me. She put me on hold for a bit then came back and told me the issue with EAC now I'm not sure if that was BS or for reals. They can have server issues I understand but then only for EAC that I cannot totally get it.

People who filed in Vermont originally literally went through hell...... They had the longest delays of all. There are some serious problems with the files that were originally filed in Vermont. As you probably know all the Vermont files were finally transferred to other centers. Vermont does not handle I485s anymore.

greenedup - As my case was transfered to TSC why I still have this EAC then? Are the not suppose to make it SRC?
My Ex Lawyer, i fired him for good reasons ha!, should not have filed to NSC at the first place as I read 485 should be filed to the SC depending on the state you live in and of course TX is my state. No point cribbing on my ex lawyer... they are bunch of jokers anyways!

The receipt number never changes. Although your file was transferred it still kept its original receipt number.

Seems like the officer gave me some BS over the phone. Not sure what's their deal is.
This is frustating now. They should send the plastic and get it over with. I think I will request my money back for the fee and stuff till I get the card and send back the check once I verify all's ok in the card.

Both mine and my wife's cards were received in 7 days after the Card Production Ordered emails.
6/6/08 - Card Production Ordered emails received.
6/10/08 - Approval notice emails received
6/12/08 - Approval/Welcome notices received by mail.
6/13/08 - Both cards received (mine and wife's).
They were processed at the Nebraska Service Center - the one that's usually the SLOW ONE. Go figure.

Not sure what's common among cases including mine have not recieved the card yet. As per IO EAC cases being delayed but I dont see that as a valid reason. Cannot conclude anymore that why some of us are still waiting more than 10 days. Maybe we were born on the same day, same year? or our case was under the same officer?. If you know anything better then please share.
