Texandude, Thanks for your concern. My wife DID get her card and everything is fine in it. So, our journey ended successfully after some anxious moments (or months)

For anyone that's still around from the early days of this topic, and cares....2 months later and I finally got my CPO email....let's see if it's all plain sailing from here.

6/11/08: Both i-140 and i-485 approval notice emails received (I filed concurrently)
6/13/08: soft LUD on i-140
6/16/08: Received i-485 approval notice in snail mail (USPS), and my lawyer received i-140 receipt.
7/01/08: Talked to IO at TSC who has initiated a biometrics search on my case.
7/14/08: Talked to IO at TSC who told me biometrics images were still missing, told me to use my original biometrics appointment letter and return to the processing center for re-printing.
8/5/08: Called "202" customer assistance number to complain, they forwarded request to superviser at TSC
8/5/08: Called 1-800 CSC number and opened a service request on my case
8/20/08: Card Production Ordered (CPO) email received.
Awaiting Card Mailed email, and physical card.

I first received the welcome notice in mail (USPS) and few of days latter received the actual card as well in the mail (USPS).
Same messages appeared on USCIS status monitoring site. The last message on the USCIS website (after card production ordered) says "Approval notice sent.". I haven't received the approval notice in mail (USPS).
What I am wondering is, I received welcome notice, and card in the mail, would I be getting the approval notice as well in the mail ?

CPO email on Aug 19th (Nebraska) ..nothing else after that ..no Approval Emails, Card mailed emails etc
Status on USCIS is "Card Production Ordered" ..I thought status would change as in Approval Notice mailed etc etc ? What gives ?

Did you call USCIS after that and ask if your I-485 is approved ? You may still get yours today or Saturday ..mine may come only next week ..unlike others who got Approval emails etc my status on USCIS hasnt changed in 4 days ..will not be at peace till I have the card in my hand :-)

hi, my case was approval notice sent. No CPO mail yet. I got approval notice on 8/15. Y'day I checked in my office and they've received GC. Not sure how USISC sends them. I got EAD on my home address, not sure why they sent GC to my office.
I will be getting them sometimes next week once my office guys send it to me.
So, pls check office address also to make sure they're not lying with all other documents. GC is valuable to you and for them its another mail to be checked

I had my CRIS approval notice yesterday the 22nd (NEBRASKA EB-2), I didn't receive any card production ordered nor the welcome email. I looked at my USCIS webpage and its also the same status "approval notice sent". Is this normal?

Got the card mailed email....it's nearly over. Awaiting patiently by mailbox.

This is very normal...
Few People just got CPO mail and GC directly. Few others got Welcome e-mail, CPO mail and Card-Posted
e-mail.

on 08/22/08 i received email as "Card Production Ordered"
on 08/25/08 i received email as
" On August 23, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service"
Can anyone say what is meant by that email ........

What does that biometric search means? Does that mean your fingerprints have to be redone? My FPs got cleared on 02/06/08 so I'm pretty sure its with them, not unless it got misplaced.

I got my CPO e-mail on 08/25/08 around 10:30 am. My case details can be viewed. I wish good luck to everybody who are in the waiting process.

Both mine and my wife's cards were received in 3 days after the Approval notice emails received emails.
22 Aug 08 - Wife's(dependent) Approval notice emails received
25 Aug 08 - Mine(primary) Approval notice emails received
25 Aug 08 - Approval/Welcome notices received by mail.
25 Aug 08 - Both cards received (mine and wife's).
YES, I GOT Approval/Welcome notices & GC SAME DAY as I got Approval notice emails!! it seems they approved my case couple days ago, just didnt bother uptated online status on time.
