Topic: Card Production Ordered Club. Feel Free to join the club!!
Ratrace, thanks a lot for your best wishes. They always said they have system problem. But why other people can get their
cards in one week? Why their system glitch picks us out? Who can explain this? May God bless all of us!
|
McBush,
I also recevied a soft LUD with similar message.... same situation. Yes, if they really ordered the card then there is a LUD, like in our caes...I had the LUD on June 28th.... so for me too early to say if they have or will mail the card.
|
Texandude,
I don't understand their LUD either. They only sent one email CPO on May 21 for my kid's case. Then soft LUD CPO on June 20, then June 26. Why they don't send emails later on? They are beyond our imagination! God bless all of us!
|
McBush, it is frustating that their LUDs and replies are not satisfactory but as far as I know if there are soft LUD then someone is looking into the case so that's a good sign. Now how fast will they respond...god only knows. I think TSC was or is having issues to pull Bio data and print the card or send bio data where needed to print the card. As you must have gone thru this thread you would have seen there are so many TSC victims... all in the same boat. Best bet would be to wait a bit after the updates maybe by this week you will receive the card. I'm hoping for that too. If not we have to call them or get an infopass.
I know it's annoying and frustating after approval. As someone mentioned that it's their after approval torture :(.
We gotta hang in there no choice I suppose!
|
Texandude,
Thanks for your wishes!
This is really a bad treatment for poor immigrants. These victims mostly got CPO LUD in May in TSC. My kid's case is with an
EACxxxxxxxxx receipt No. but transfered to TSC. Is this the problem?
|
McBush...Yes EAC is exactly the problem. I was told that by a nice IO long ago that TSC cases were having problems with EAC cases as they were transfered to them from VSC...... when we get a our biometrics done ASC sends our data based on the receipt notice...in our case they do have the data electronically but it was sent to VSC instead. Now, when they say they will need to locate the biometric info they mean that internally. There were similar cases like us, if you go thru the thread, and some of them got their cards after a little more wait than normal... It has to come though...eventually...but wait makes it a little harder.
|
ok
My wife's card arrived in the mail yesterday
her story:
TSC,
CPO 06/24/08
Card and welcome notice arrived on 06/30/08
My card is nowhere in sight
and I am supposed to be primary
|
dimtrack...that's a good thing...your card should be on it's way :)
|
Update. I see a soft LUD on my case. Date changed for CPO from 05/31/08 then 06/28/08 - after talking to an IO last week.
Yesterday opened SR.
Today 07/01/2008 - same message. Just checked the online status.
Is it a good sign?
|
Here is the final update from my side. Both my and my wife's green card ( they are actually cream color) arrived yesterday. the timeline was : TSC to NSC transferred case - NIW to EB1 relinking
6/11- approval notice email
6/16 - approval notice (USPS)
6/24 - called NSC to enquire about no CPO mails. IO put a note to the IT dept for linking biometrics.
6/25 - called again. same IO picked up ( though he didnt recognize me ) told that cards are in production.
6/25 - CPO email.
6/30 - Actual Cards arrived by mail.
Thats the end of journey for me. Now the new one to write grants etc starts>>>>>>>
Thanks a lot to all of you for your support and wish you all good luck. May you all get to hear the good news soon. Texandude, arihant , lanwarrior and all I sincerely hope that you guys will see ur card latest by next week. I am guessing this for the reason that if USCIS had probelm in updating ur bio's, they realized it within 30 days and must have rectified it and sent you the new CPO email. I will hangaround in the forum to bid you guys farewell.
|
texas niw,
Could you please let me know what number you call and what did you tell them to re ink the biometrics? I tried to call and they said I should wait.
I got the same situation.
6/24 Approval notice (E mail)
6/27 Approval Notice (USPS)
Nothing else so far.....
|
texasniw CONGRATULATIONS!!! great to hear the success story. Great gift for you and your wife!! 4th of July weekend will be lotsa fun for you this year :).
Thanks for the good wishes. Things are moving and I agree with you that they might have rectified the issue. I guess we all bombarded them with phone calls...hehehe we did not have a choice...did we!!!!!
Hopefully we get the card soon.
Wish you the very best and a great 4th of July weekend. Go chill out take some time off!! hehee
I think I will call in SICK!! once I receive my card!!! shhhhhhh!!!
|
Congrats texasniw! I am in the exact same position as you were, with the same dates (see below). How did you manage to get through to Service Center directly? I just called the 1-800-375-5283 and got a very unhelpful agent who clearly was just reading protocol off a screen and didn't know anything. He told me to wait 60 days and then call back. How does one get through to an IO at a specific service center? Thanks! Congrats again.
From TSC:
6/11/08: Both i-140 and i-485 approval notice emails received (I filed concurrently)
6/13/08: soft LUD on i-140
6/16/08: Received i-485 approval notice in snail mail (USPS), and my lawyer received i-140 receipt.
|
I'm not quite there yet... I had an Infopass appointment this morning, and the IO sent another email to the IT help desk to resolve the issue. But, I did not leave empty handed: I got my I-551 stamp, valid for one year. Now they can take all the time they need to relink my biometrics information with my case - that is, as long as it's done within one year :)
|
I just called by POJ method. Told the IO that I have received the approval notice and no CPO mail so far , whats the hiccup and he found out the reason and put the note to the IT dept.
|
When I went to FP, the guy gave me a piece of paper to answer some questions and to write my address. Since my appointment notice showed my attorney address he scratched the address I wrote and he wrote my attorney address... my question is; is this the address where my card will be sent? Anyone in this forum with the same experience and that have already received her/his card?
|
So I am approved (6/23) and received the paper version (6/28). Nothing else.
Is the underlying Visa (L1A in my case) automatically cancelled now that I am approved?
I am travelling on Saturday and if the card does not arrive before then, what do I do upon re-entry? Again try to use my L1A or.....?
|
spiderv6,
Yes, once you are approved then previous status is void. If you leave the country then make sure either you have I-551 stamp on your passport if you do not receive your card in the mail. To get a I-551 stamp you need to schedule an appointment with Infopass and also show/prove them urgency of the stamp, in your case your ticket.
I do not know much details about the visa type you have but if you leave without stamping or the card you might have difficulty entering the US as your status has changed.
Consult your attorney too before you leave.
*****Disclaimer - I'm not an attorney.
|
Thanks texasniw. I just called using the "POJ Method" (does anyone have any idea what POJ stands for by the way?) and after listening to a recorded voice saying over and over again "your wait time will between 5 and 10 mins" I got onto a very helpful IO at the TSC, who after quickly reviewing my case told me that they were missing biometric info for my case. I completed biometrics last November, so provided her with this info. She triggered a search for my biometrics, which can take up to 48 hours. She took my number and told me they would call back to let me know. If they cannot locate my biometrics, I will be called for another appointment, if they can, they will issue the card. Here's hoping I don't have to re-do biometrics. I think its ridiculous that all of the cases with these problems are just sitting there until we call to trigger the search.
From TSC:
6/11/08: Both i-140 and i-485 approval notice emails received (I filed concurrently)
6/13/08: soft LUD on i-140
6/16/08: Received i-485 approval notice in snail mail (USPS), and my lawyer received i-140 receipt.
7/01/08: Talked to IO at TSC who has initiated a biometrics search on my case.
|
Marky2002,
Totally diffrent experience for me, I called today and the "not-so nice" IO said to me......They don't have my picture..I have to re-do biometrics....wait for 30 days for appointment letter...#$@!$%!%
I don't even have a chance to say a word....she hanged up on me.....
|
According to this page http://www.trackitt.com/discussion-forums/i485-1/142986827/ it's the "Prince of Jungle" method - no idea who that is. You got the same information that I got last week, but nobody called me either within or after the 48 hours were up. I still don't have a status update on my case, and that's the reason why I made the Infopass appointment. This has triggered another search for my bio info, and I did get my passport stamped.
|
I am a silent reader in this forum.information is damn good and it is up to date.it helped me a lot.thanks to trackitt.I got green card couple of days back.

Round 3
Called to the TSC
Afr-amer person told me that my biometrics was not uploaded, and will ask computer guys to figure it out and if nothing changes to call them in 2 weeks
will see...
btw, to reach TSC the following sequence can also be used:
1-800-...
1-2-1-1-4-1-Rpt#-1-3-1
So they actually connect people whose GC didn't arrive in a month to service center...
|
This was unusual... I called today just to see soft LUDs on my status since yesterday is working or not.
The Cust. Rep. transferred me to an IO... she said oh!! lemme look at the case after getting my receipt number. She gets back on the phone after talking to supervisor and tells me that she is again typing an email, I could hear her typing...she was telling me the text and typing a ticket to helpdesk... that was impressive.
When she was done she goes "Sorry sir I apologize for the delay, it's a system glitch and my supervisor will take care of this".
Now the best part...after apologizing she gives me her name, designation, officer number and asked me to call if I do not receive the card within a week then ask to connect to the officer giving her name and officer number.
Wow! that was awesome!! for a minute I thought I hope I have not dialed a wrong number maybe my credit card company as they are being too nice..hehehe...was a good experience and wanted to share it with yawl!!
|
well Last + 1 update from my side :
I received the 'Card Mailed' email from CRIS on 1st July. I already received my card on June 30th. This notice further allay's my fear of not being updated by CRIS on day to day basis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Card Mailed
On July 1, 2008, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
Guys I forgot to tell you everthing seems fine on our card . My wife is still a female and I am straight in USCIS records. The card came to the correct new address where I have moved just 2 months ago.
|
So heres my update;
Called lawyer yesterday afternoon about my travel plans and lack of physical card....she says I absolutely need a stamp in my passport to avoid problems on re-entry. She logs on to Inforpass and has me a 10.30am appointment this morning. I go there, tell them I need a stamp because of travel, they take my approval notices and passports and stamp them there and then. Nothing else required, she didn't even look me up on the computer. I was in and out within 10 minutes with four stamped passports.
Now they have 12 months to get me the physical card.......!
|
lol...on am straight in USCIS records.
Thank God they did not send a RFE for that before sending the card. Anything is possible with them. ;0)
|
OK, I called USCIS 3 times and the result is totally UNEXPECTED.
Before I start, this is the status of my case BEFORE calling today (for both spouse and myself):
I-485 approval mail: 05/27/08
CPO: 05/28/08 (Online case)
When I called (by pressing 1-800-375-5283, press 1, 2, 2, 6, 1, receipt #, press 1,1, 3, 4):
FIRST CALL: CS said card ordered. That's it, full stop. Said don't know why I didn't receive it. Told me to wait ANOTHER 30 days.
SECOND CALL: CS said card MAILED 05/28/08. That's impossible because CPO is 05/28/08. CS said don't know, contact USPS
Note that I get CS all the time, not IO for some reason.
Oook.. so these 2 are idiots obviously. I tried for the 3rd time and this time I press 1,2,2 and didn't press anything and went to a live person (don't know if this is IO or CS) and here goes:
THIRD CALL:
1. SELF
Was told that my card is ordered TODAY. I told the IO that CPO was originally 05/28, so what happened to that? He said he doesn't know. Just wait for ANOTHER 30 days. WTH???
2. SPOUSE
Was told that a USCIS Notice has been sent to my home address and she will be required to visit a USCIS local office. I asked why, he said he doesn't know. WTH2???
I checked my USCIS case online and it CHANGED to this:
1. SELF: CPO changed to 06/30 from 05/28
2. SPOUSE: Status is now:
Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
"On June 30, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed WITHIN 60 DAYS following this registration or after you complete ANY ADIT (wth is this????) processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later...."
Sounds scary, especially that ADIT part...
It seems that after calling 3 times, USCIS or TSC "realize" something is wrong with my case (they must've a way to track how many times I call) and suddenly BOTH cases updated today. Could be a coincidence, but I doubt it.
I don't know guys... I am so confused now and worse yet I have to wait ANOTHER 30 DAYS (60 days for my spouse). USCIS will NOT entertain my inquiry if I don't wait ANOTHER 30 days. By that time, it'll be 60 days, but clearly something is wrong with USCIS or TSC but they don't want to check what happened.
|
A quick update (well no update really as you can see below)
My wife again reached TSC today. Once again the IO said she would send out an IT request. So, the wait continues. At this point we do not even know if they are submiting the request. The IO says it may take up to 6 months before this is resolved!!
Well, one weird observation. My wife tried reaching them all day yesterday and again today using the Home phone and each time it would go to Customer Rep instead. So, today I had her try using my cell phone and she got connected to TSC in the first try! Are they blocking phone numbers based on frequency of calls to them or was it just a coincidence? Just made me wonder. Ianwarrior, maybe you should try from a different phone and see if you reach TSC.
|
Update....Soft LUD on my status...now it's On July 2, 2008, we ordered production of your new card.
Changes from original msg CPO -05/31/08>>>>>06/28/09>>>>>07/01/08>>>>07/02/08.
Analysis: after talking to IOs after 30 days they did start acting on the case and actively working on it. My last call was very fruitful, 2 days back, as the IO was awesome, details in my one of the posts.
Arihant, Dimtrack, Lanwarrior and others any updates on your cases?
Arihant I think you are correct. They do something with the phone as I would use a phone at work in a conf. room and when I call from there it's transfered to stupid CS so I changed the conf. room :). New Number new call...ha!
I think they log in the number when we bypass CS and they place numbers in something like T-mobile's FAV 5. FAV 5 or more once logged then transfered to CS dummies :)....
How about using blocked call stunt..*67 and then the number...will try that.
|
Nope no update. Well, I have decided to ask my wife to call them only once a week. The next deadline for us is 60 days which will be on July 21st (which after this weekend is 2 weeks away... that wait does not sound so bad after all the other indefinite waits during the whole GC journey!). Well, there are five options at that time:
1) Try infopass again because they cannot put us off with the 60 day statement again and hope to get temporary stamp on the passport. Hopefully I can be polite but forceful and manage to convince them this time to do the stamping. Ideally, they would also send an IT request and/or issue a new FP. Let us see.
2) If we have not heard from Ombudsman by then (it would have been 30 days since sending to Ombudsman for the first time about this issue), send them another application with stronger words this time. No guarantee that they will investigate our petition anyway.
3) Ask the lawyer to contact USCIS and figure out what is going on. Lawyer has also refused to do anything until 60 days are up. So, after 60 days, the lawyer cannot put it off either.
4) Call USCIS again and ask them what is up because 60 days have come and gone.
5) Contact Senators and/or congressman.
As you can see, none of the above options are guaranteed to work. Let us see if any of them will trigger the desired response from USCIS. I am beginning to have nightmares that she may not get the card, if at all, for several months!!! If, at least, they stamp her passport then we have physical evidence of her LPR status for at least a year. Currently, we have no acceptable form of physical evidence to prove her LPR if she decides to travel internationally or decides to take up a job. The only original form we have is her Welcome Notice, I-797C which is in itself not of any use other than to assure us that she has been approved.
|
Arihant. I think the IO just told your wife that it can take up to 6 months...dont buy that...maybe the IO was having a bad day :(
As you can see from this thread people in similar situation received their cards after they got in touch with the IOs.
TSC definitely was having issues to pull Bio on the card.
Yes, I agree calling them once a week is a good idea. As there was a soft LUD on my case I think I will just wait till next week before I make a reminder call.
Have a great 4th..
Cheers!!
|
All,
Just had an InfoPass appointment and I must say, this is the MOST unpleasant experience ever dealing with an IO. Not only she's rude, but she just doesn't want to help at all. "Wait for ANOTHER 30-60 days". She even didn't know want to stamp my I-551 ujntil I pointed out that it has been MORE than 30 days since the CPO status. WTF?
After some haggling, she finally relent and have another IO stamp the passport. I got the stamp but it's only for 90 days. BTW, I had to wait 2 hours just for that 1 stamp and there were only 2 other persons waiting.
She said that she had put in a request to "expedite" the card production and gave me a service case number (different than my receipt number) and she said if the card has NOT been received after 30 days, call the 1-800 and give the IO the service case number.
|
hi , i received my welcome notice in usps mail and my gc also in usps mail , i received approval notice sent email but dont received approval notice in usps mail , its normal please help
|
6/25 - called again. same IO picked up ( though he didnt recognize me ) told that cards are in production.
Ah..shoot ... those dumb IOs :)
|
Hi All,
Hope all of you had a great long weekend!! Was hard to get back to work eh!! :(
Anywho, what's the update from you guys?
From me- No card received yet. Latest was Updated CP0 07/02/08... nuttin' yet.
Any good news from "TSC delay-hangin in there dudes/dudettes"?
|
what about your Approvals ? Did you got your Approvals already ?
|
Well, per my post on page 6, my wife got her "Welcome Notice". So look like USCIS is indeed taking some action for my case.
|
Nothing new here. I am waiting 'til the 30 days are up, then I will call them again.
|
zoyainsk71,
I had recieved my approval on 05/21/08 email and then approval in the usps mail after 4 days, I think by 05/27.
I'm just waiting for the card.
|
Got a response from Ombudsman that they filed a request on our behalf with USCIS and that we should wait for 45 days for a response from USCIS. So, the wait goes on. At this point we have heard "30 days", "45 days", "60 days", "30-90 days" and "up to 6 months", but no concrete answers yet and no physical card either....
|
arihant,
After Ombudsman and previously calling IOs there is not Soft LUD on the status?...just curious?
|
do you think you wanna, or your wife, call again and ask the IO if they could link/find her Biometric data... I mean that was the glitch. Maybe calling them will also have a double impact along with your Om. process.
|
Alrighty then....received my CARD on Saturday!!!! Phew!! that took a while. All looks well on the card. No typos...thank god!!
Excited to see it today morning. Did not check my mails thinking the card won't arrive anytime soon as TSC has just begun to look into cases which were delayed!! Had a soft LUD after talking the IO and that's it...no Card Mailed email.
I'm outta this now. Wish you all a Happy Card Receiving!!! and future!!
Thank you trackitt for a wonderful site.
|
Congratulations, mehere. Enjoy!
|
Congrats mehere!! enjoy dude!!
This gives us hope that we may also receive our cards. TSC is working on deleyed cases.
Wish you the very best!!
Cheers!
|
texandude,
did you get your card? How about others waiting for your cards, any progress?
No progress this week on our side. We did not even bother USCIS this week :)
We have an Infopass next week. Let us see what happens there.
After that, we will wait for the 60 days (which is on July 22nd) and then have the lawyer contact them. We will also call USCIS at that time and see what they will have to say. Let us see if they will initiate an SR.
We are also waiting to get a response from USCIS to our Ombudsman query.
So, waiting...waiting...waiting...until July 22nd and beyond.
|
Arihant,
nada! No card yet. I stopped calling after the updates. I thought I was losing self respect now. If they wanna send it then they will or else they can shove it up!! Of Course without my Biometrics! ...when they shove it up!
