means going to the File button, choose Print in the menu. But for them, it is so hard and need months of effort to do...

Please do NOT use 202 number for case status check. This is a number only for CASE PROBLEM. Please refrain from using it for regular status check. Otherwise, we may face another group of people saying nonsense words to us. Thanks.

One minute ago, Mr. Johnson of USCIS customer assistance called me and told me very good news for everybody here: "After consulting with TSC, I want to inform you of that the After CPO No Card is because of COMPUTER PROBLEM for this process. This is not an issue specific for you, there are A BOUNCH of CASES involved. However, this technical problem WAS FIXED YESTERDAY! All involved cases should receive their cards in 1 to 2 WEEKS."

Yep, but cautiously happy...
There are LUD's in our cases dated on 7/22. If what McBush heard was correct, then we should see cards within a week.

Yipe, I had a LUD yesterday and then when I called the officer said they are making some data changes. It's happening :)

Not sure if this good news applies to my wife's case. For her, CPO has not been issued. USCIS is still stuck trying to find her biometrics. We have not had any LUDs on her case since the welcome notice in May. We will be thrilled if by some magic we get her card within 2 weeks. But, I doubt it. Will follow up with the 202 number next week or the week after next tos ee if they found the biometrics.

I agree. Now we have to wait and see but the good part is by calling them and their response sounds positive. In fact them calling you and McBush was also a good sign. We have done our part by bringing the issue to them and they did at least something about it.
Your wife's case, maybe they are processing and there are no LUDs on the status. That is a possibility. CRIS system is not too reliable.
So let's see what happens in a week's time.
Maybe now they will say oh!! we fixed the printer but now our case status update machine is broken :(

I have received a "Approval Notice" email. Previously I only received "Welcome Notice" both email and the letter.
And the Case Status No says: "Approval Notice Sent on 7/24" changed from CPO.
No change in the wife's case, except a LUD on 7/22. I am not gonna make any comment whether those are good or not.

Thanks for your appreciation. I wish all the silent readers can report their cases here so that we can estimate how serious the situation is. If there were no people like texandude and others working hard on this problem, I don't think they would "find" can fix this CPO problem. This problem has lasted for 3 months, but why they just found it? This is because of the efforts from people like you here.

All the silent readers please report your cases and try all means to shout out your pain and push the process, calling, writing, and visiting to all people who can help. No uproar, no any change! Silent majority is always the most significant part of any group, but that is only in number. In effect, this majority is 0.0000.

Update on my status. Got a call from an officer, the one who took my number 3 days back finally called, I was surprised!.
He goes I have talked to an officer in Missourie and she is looking into the reason of delay and he will check with her next week and again call me. I did not ask any questions but thanked him for the call. I checked my status online and this time a LUD on the date CPO remains the same. CPO -07/23/08, had changed 3 days back.
Now I have 07/25/2008 I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.
What do we make outta this now? what's in Missourie now. This GC puzzle keeps me wondering all the time :/). I remember a word we used to use back in high school. "Zapped", more of a UK english slang, for a situation like this.
I think I'm "Zapped".

McBush the online message is same "On July 23 We..blah blah" today the date on the very first page, where we have the dates for the cases on portfolio changed to 07/25/2008. When I open the case the message is with 07/23.

Thanks txeandude. My updated info: I called TSC minutes ago. One lady checked my daughter's case and said "the card is sent for production again on July 23rd! You should receive it soon " But the online message is still "On June 26, 2008, we ordered production of your new card ..." The LUD is still July 10, 2008. No LUD (soft or email) on July 23rd!

I am really excited, I never think to be posting in the I485 forum (i will explain you), but today I received a mail from CRIS with this:
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On July 25, 2008, we ordered production of your new card.
They have received my application on April 22 2008 TSC, and I haven't received any information until April 23 my I140 got approved, I was waiting for my I765 EAD desperately, but it seems that I would not get the EAD nor the Parole I130 because they authorize me the Green Card in 94 days......am I ok? this can happen?
What is next? how many days? can someone explain me because Im so excited with this notice....I never expected to be that fast.

Updated info: Got email today, my kid's card was mailed 2 days ago. This proves that CPO in TSC is on track now. You guys will receive your cards in this week!

Just got a call from the IO I spoke to last week (the 202 number) about my case status. She confirmed that the biometrics data had not been downloaded previously, but they just did that, and I should have my card within the next 30 days.

I got in to the US yesterday night using the stamp (I-551).
We went to the Citizen and residents’ line. Then, the officer got our passports and after checking the system for less than 30 seconds told us: I can’t check you guys here, you have to go inside. He said to my husband you were a L1 visa holder, you were sponsored by your company and this is your first time getting in, right? My husband said yes. Then, Please follow me. (At this point I was thinking…great we are going to stay here for an hour).
We went to this waiting area inside the room. After 2 minutes, the IO called my husband’s name, stamped our passports, said welcome and we were released. It was really easy!
Since my husband is traveling again today for a meeting abroad, I checked my mail box and NOTHING yet.
It has been more than 3 weeks now!!!

I got the card...
TSC is working...
Everything on the card seems correct. Except it says: Resident since: 04/30/08.
My welcome notice was saying: Approval: 05/01/08.
I don't think one-day-difference is a big deal. The summary of my saga is below. I am also adding these to my profile.
No words on wife's card yet though. Latest thing is LUD on 7/22.

Are you guys saying there was a problem with CPO in TSC? I got the Approval Notice LUD on July 14 and then the letter on July 22 but nothing whatsoever about CPO.
Do I have to get the e-mail or can I get the card straight away?

I have received my card today. Still waiting for my wife's card.
My I-140 and my wife's 485 still says pending online. Below is my pattern.
7/21 CPO
7/22 LUD
7/24 Approval Notice Email
7/25 LUD
7/28 Card Received.

You and me have very similar profile. By the fact that I got Email approved back in June 24 and Approval notice mail 2 days later...and nothing else, probably we are in the same situation here. My case got transfered from TSC to issued the receipt at California office and looks like they lost the Biometric.
I went to Infopass just try to figure things out today. Only thing I got done is got the passport stamp...no other information was provided.
If anyone has any suggestion, please let me know.....

I just got my CPO on July 26 and email welcoming the new permanent resident today. Like the person above, can I expect to get my green card within the next 5 - 7 days?

You are also a victim of TSC delays like me and other. Well, the good news is they have rectified the problem, machine printing GC, read more on this thread in previous pages. So, I presume you will get your card soon.
I'm waiting for mine since 05/31/08.

OK. Finally a positive update. Got an envelope from USCIS in the mail yesterday. It contained an FP notice for my wife on 8/6. Well, hopefully, this time they WILL find the biometrics after my wife gives it and hopefully we will get the CPO and the card soon after that. Here's to a lot of hoping! Oh! BTW, there has still been no LUD on my wife's case, soft or otherwise.
So, the next important date for us in this saga is 8/6. To be continued....

I dont' even think I reach to your state yet. I know they have the problem with the machine producign the card. I don't even think they even find my Biometric yet. I believe they have to send me a letter for another Biometric. That might take forever for them to issue another biometric appoinmtent letter---

npaoinc - If you have done your Bio/FP then it can be the same case as mine. Finally they could locate my bio and there were LUDs on my case.
if they cannot find your Bio then they will issue a new FP appointment like in Arihant's case.

Texasdude, what did you do to ask them to find your Biometric?
Only service request would do it? (I doubt that though)

npaoinc,I just called and constantly reminded them that after CPO and 30 days I have not receieved the card.
That's all. Talked to IOs most of the time. Customer Sevice is useless and waste of time. All they do is read online status.
I did open a SR too. Also, you also got stuck here as your case was transfered from CA to TSC. That's the problem. Transfered cases get stucK after approval and CPO, as far as I know.
I think you will be eligible for SR, as after CPO you have not received your card after 30 days.

Congratulations TexanDude. Your wait is over. The current processing time for TSC is july-16-2007. From approval of your case, it looks like they are considering both RD and PD.
