I am wondering if there is any link between card production and approval of I-485. ON thursday night i received 2 e-mail from CRIS:
1. Card production ordered e-mail
2. welcoming new resident.
So far i have not received any e-mail regarding the approval of my I-485. Is this customary? How long will it take to get that approval? Also, at this time would the I-485 approval have any meaning to my application.

Its good that you got two emails.
I had received only one email "card production ordered" on 06/05/08 and again on 06/06/08 (same email)
On 06/11/08 - I recieved I-485 approval notice in USPS mail and also got email in the evening
On 06/13/08 - I recieved the acutal card in mail.
If you have recieved the emails, you'll get your card and I-485 approval notices v. soon.

You may or may not get all the 3 emails, CPO odered, welcoming new perm resident and approval notice sent. My details give you the dates and times for the different emails I received, all 3 of them and the date the card was recd.
All in all, within 10 days, you can breathe easy....congratulations.. |
