I did paper filing through my lawyer for both myself and my dependant. I got the approval email for both of us today.
No idea if it's 1 or 2 years but I suspect it's the 1 yr one.
My PD is current now and it's before the end of the month (when they said they'll start the 2-yr EADs).

Thanks Lucky ... so do I

I was hoping that the EAD and AP renewal will get attention to my application and somehow I'll get lucky but it was filed at Nebraska while my 485 is with Texas ... the wait continues.

Hello all I'm trying to renewal my EAD myself I'm realy can't pay my lawyer at this time.
I have only on question:
I filed 485 in Nov 2006 (EB-2) and obviously my status is AOS.
What I have to fill in the section No. 14 of the form which it says manner of last entry?
I appreciate ur help.

Manner of Last Entry would be the visa status you used to enter USA (most recent one) ... check your I-94 that you might have received at the time of entering into United States ...

If your last entry you used your H1, then H1b, if you used AP, then "paroled".
You can check in the back of your I-94 card. What does it say? H1, AP?

Did you enter US initially with F visa, or J visa or H visa??

I mean initially many years ago before your AOS and hence your AP.

Then here is what you should write.

I initially came to US on H1B and later applied for permanent residency (I485 pending). The manner of last entrance was AP.

I wrote something similar to this however I came as an F1.

All the best

Yep..... Texas is pretty fast usually with paper based EAD applications. Back in 2005 I applied for EAD-OPT and I got the card in 6 days. No kidding.

I guess that is the record for the fastest EAD of all time. :))

Hope that you get the magic email pretty soon.
