EB-3 will be unavailable until October....
Wished to have better time by seeing Pakistan Cricket team playing well, but they are also playing like a club team..:(
Anyways its summer time, time to go out and have fun....

Don't give up for three months. On your RFE they must have assigned visa number, and they will be processing some of the EB3 GCs during July to September. Being old case, you will get it during this period.

Thats unknown to me, I tried to find out this out by opening a thread on trackitt in the past but didn't get any useful information. I assume when IO thinks that the case is approve able then he/she assigns the visa number to the case. Now, I am not sure whether getting a RFE means the case has been assigned with a vis a number or not.

Are you talking about A# which is attached to 485, AP, EAD? If all is same does it mean that is pre-assigned visa number?

A# means alien number, thats not the visa number. You get the A# with your I-140 approval, my assumption. Someone else can also confirm.

Call USCIS using POJ method and if you are lucky IO will tell you whether you have a pre-assigned visa number or not. |

I was reading one post in which a trackitt member pointed out that someone got approved and his/her PD wasn't current.
I checked the original post and there is an URL given by other member.

Now, I have my doubts if we (EB3) may be approved or not being the VB unavailable to all of us.
As per Murthy,
" I-485s cannot be approved unless an immigrant visa number is immediately available in the specific category. "
"In the green card scenario, there is a risk that the USCIS may seek to rescind the wrongfully granted green card if and when they discover the mistake, or, even worse, may seek removal action against the individual. It could also create a problem for future cases for family members or when applying for naturalization to become a U.S. citizen, even if the USCIS opts not to take action against the individual before that time."
Therefore, even if we see an EB3 approval in July-August-September, or better, we got the approval notice in that period of time, we must be very cautious and find out if the case was approved in error by the USCIS, or previously approved when the priority date was still current. OMG!!!

Peace, your case is very similar to mine. I am hoping against hope that next 3 months won't be a total waste and we'll see EB3 approvals. And please, don't even mention the pak cricket team. what idiots! as if USCIS ppl weren't enough to spoil the mood, now we have our cricket team to do the favor.

Today, I got the message from the lawyer that USCIS rejected our "Expedited Service Request" with the reason that we couldn't justify a true basis for the expedited SR. That was the last chance for June but was wasted. Anyways ..... life is beautiful ...so, got to enjoy and got to be happy by making other people happy and which intern will make the GOD happy. So,we have to smile and make other people smile around us to make positive atmosphere.
Have fun and wish Pakistan Cricket Team beat Inida by Big margin:) Guys/Gals( from India) be happy you have already won with big margin its our turn now...:)

there is no guarantee that we will get it right away in October! it might be another year or two!

Consult with your lawyer and contact USCIS so that you can get your case pre-adjudicated and when the visa numbers will be available in Oct. the case will be approved right away. And as per the goals set for FBI name checks, all the name checks pending for more than a year will be resolved by Nov. 2008, so, all the pending cases before July, 07 should be approved by the end of Nov. 08 provided PD is current.

Called TSC today and wass able to talk to a very nice IO and got the info that, My case is with the adjudicating officer and thats all the information I got. I asked about whether I have been assigned a visa number or not, but the IO declined that request. Lets see what comes out.

Al what about Omar Gul, Iftikhar Anjum, Mohammad sami just to name a few. I did not even mention Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif because of their stupid behaviour.
In my humble opinion Pakistan has alot of talent but too much money has become an issue in the game. We lack discipline and a good leader like Imran Khan.

I dont know why we chose piyush again. He was beaten badly in the past against pak. I think now the match is poised towards pak..dont know if they want to finish it in 45 overs to maintain a healthy run rate. You would need that if u want to be in final...all the best bro |

congrats for a well deserved win...yusuf shut off the mouths of many...
they should have played prgyan ozha in this match....
Lets see if pak can maintain the momentum since they have only 2 points against india's 4...dont forget india and SL carried 4 points from group stage. I still see India and S/L final but hats off to this performance from your country..
