Topic: My 485 got approved today but my wives and sons did not...Can someone help me
My 485 got approved today. I applied for the 485 for my family at the same time. I do not know why this is happening that my family's 485 is still pending. How can I handle this situation? Also, my son who is around 3 and a half years old, was not called for the finger printing.
Please help me out.

Will take a bit of time I suppos. My kids finger printing never came through as well. I think they should be 14 and older.

Dude,
I have received my in November, and my wife's hasn't still come through yet. So good luck and little bit of patience might help. Oh congratulations on getting your Green Card

Just got an intimation that my son's 485 also got approved. My wife's is still pending though. I think we are sailing on the same boat. Do you know anyone else whose case is similar to ours. I have a friend here and his wife's approval was after 2yrs of his approval. I hope it does not take such a long time. Why would anyone not approve for the entire members?

I am sorry but more than one wife is not allowed in USA (except Utah state) so may be because of this your wives 's 485 is in pending stage. Consult lawyer in this case. Hey Just joking!!!
Your wife's I-485 will be approved soon. I know one person who's wife's I-485 approved after 45 days.

Stop this, your behavior is unacceptable. Show some respect and save us your non sense useless postings. You will wait long in line and even may never get GC if go to interview with this altitude. what do you do for living? are you sure that EB-9 catergory is not more appropriate for you?
PS: PD for EB-9 is 1935

ok guys, cool..I am not trying to be impatient. I just asked for some info if some one is in similar situation. Thats it.
Moreover to the English professor - the word "wives" was a slip. End even if I have more than one, how does it bother you? Lot of people in this do not know how to use an article, adverb, adjective or a preposition as I have observed. We all come here for some good words, some times some help. Some of the exchange of information shared in the forum makes people feel happy and get a proper sleep.

To you Mr. English, if I have to find fault in your post...There is no WIVES'S .......It is WIVES'......forget it...I apologize for pointing out your mistake though...
As I told we are here to share some experience that might make others feel better...Let us do that...

Primary applicants will always be approved first. It can take up to 3 or so years for dependents to get approvals, but they will be approved.
In the coming months you may notice some strange approvals that are totally out of order where PD are concerned. Any left over visas get given for weird and wonderful reasons. A prime example is the old reason of aging out. Now before anyone gets on their high horse and points out to me about age is frozen from the date your applications were received; may I point out that USCIS feel the following: If one of your kids will be 21 within the next 6 months and your applicationhas been pre-approved and no visas were left at that time, they will try and approve those cases. It happened last year and is happening each month. There are a few other reasons, but I have not been able to track them with any confidence as of this time.
Good luck to everyone.
Cheers,
LRIndy.

We were in the same sitiuation. My and my child's applications were approved, my wife application was pending because her FPs expired. My wife was approved one week later, after she submitted her FPs.
FPs expire after 15 month. Even if your wife dsid not get any notice, call USCIS and ask if she needs to renew her FPs, in case she does - they will send her appointment notice. THis is what happened in my case.

Don't worry too much about it. Hope you will take this in the right spirit.
People are waiting for their approvals in EB2 and EB3 for many years and now a days even EB1B and EB1A are also taking a long time.
Since you are in EB1C from India, your employment is either based in India or some other country other than US (other wise you won't be qualified for EB1C).
It is really unfair when I hear that some guy who just comes and goes here once in a blue moon are getting approvals where people like me/us are spending our lives here and even in EB1B/A are not getting approvals.
In such an unfair system and situation people tend to show their frustrations especially when some one asks why my son is not getting approvals.
Think about it: Since you already have your green card, what are the implications if your wife/son didn't get their GC. For all practical purpose there are no implications.
Your son don't need a GC, your wife don't need a GC (unless she is planning to divorce from you) if she is in EAD (only thing is that you may have to renew this every 2 years, but in 2 years she will get her GC). She can change as many jobs as she want.
eg: I have applied in EB1B still waiting for my I-140, forget about I-485. You probably don't know the struggle we are facing in our lives. My wife is working in another state and therefore currently I am a single dad with my son. It is not a joke to do a demanding job when you are alone with your kid.
I am not even waiting for my I-485 approval, I am just want my I-140.
Imagine that a lot of people like me are in this country for around 10 years (came for studies etc) and still waiting for their permanent residency. Mean time a guy from India or any other country who just visit here is getting their approvals when others are watching like fools.
I agree that everything in life is not fair for everybody.
The frustration is nothing about you, but when some one makes some silly comments, people get agitated whether it is wrong or right.
So take it easy and enjoy your freedom by having the GC and just bare with these kinds of comments.

With the power of Good Luck that I am enjoying right now (first time ever in my life). I will pray to God for all of you.
