cannot understand what u are asking, but for ur info fingerprints if taken by USCIS is valid for 15 months. and any fingerprints taken after June 30, 2007 does not expire so no need to do a fingerprint again. Whether u efile or do a paper based EAD filing u will get fringerprints CODE 2 to scan ur thumb finger print, photo and signature.

In my case i never got a FP notice after 1 year, so thinking EAD renewal is the only way to trigger FP notice. So want to confirm whether anyone who filed paer based EAD got FP notice ?

You are saying you didnt get the FP for almost a year. Remember, the code in the FP notice for I-485 filing is different from the code in FP notice for EAD filing.

Code in fingerprint Notice
------------------------------
Code 1 - FP of ten fingers.
Code 2 - FP of right index finger, digital photo and signature.
Code 3 - FP of ten fingers, FP of index finger, digital photo and signature.

All I-485 applicants are getting the FP notice with the code 3. If you are filing for EAD, you would get FP notice with the code 2.
Sometimes EAD renewal might trigger sending the FP notice, but not sure if you would get the notice with the code 2 or 3. Give it a shot.

Also send an email to the following id and report this problem

Good luck.
