Topic: Parents visa got rejected
Posted by ydmm (6) 31 Jul 2008
hi guys!

I know I am at the wrong place, but thought this might be the best place where I could get valuable inputs. My parents visa stamping got rejected .My father is working in Abu dhabi and that's where he attended his visa interview. Consular officer said that they have failed to demonstrate our eligibility due to the lack of sufficient economic and social ties. what kind of documents should we use for the support so that they can try for the next time.Should he apply from India for his visa? What place should he attend his visa interview. I am so confused.

Thanks!

If you file affidavit of support documents saying you are responsible for all expenses and they will not become a state responsbility. It might help. Did they submit this document from you?

I think the issue is that the consulate did not feel that they had enough social and economic tied to Abu Dhabi or India and were concerned that once they come here, they have no raeson to go back. in this case, I am not sure that a letter saying that you will support all their expenses will help. in fact, it may worsen the situation since that reinforces the consulate's belief. I would suggest carrying property papers, or anything else that demonstrates that they plan to go back. A letter from your father's employer that are visiting for a short period of time during his vacation is another possible document.

what is said above by approvemy140 is correct. I made a mistake in thinking it is economical support. If they have property in Abudhabi, and family/property in india, it will work. Also the employment ties might help even more. Affidavit of support is still required in a sense that you take responsibility of deporting them back after the visa period. So it will still help.

YDMM:

I posted answer to your same post on a different thread yesterday. Look for those suporting docs. And it is better if your parents go for Visa interview in India.

I am planning to relocate in dubai. I am the only son of my parents, I have to keep my parents. so I require resident visa. I have seen the DNRD site, my doubtful section in the website procedure is reproduced here for ready reference.

1. As per new regulations, you have to sponsor both your mother and father together and show proof that you are their sole provider and that there is no one to take care of them in your home country

2.Documents required for entry visa
Proof of relationship from your embassy/consulate attesting both relationship and that you are sole provider for your parent/s

My question is what are documents required to be submitted for proof of relation ship & sole provider clause.
