Very useful thread--
I need to get the EAD as well as AP renewed for both my wife and myself. I am considering paper filing so that I can (most probably) receive the EAD card and AP approval more quickly than through e-filing, and as well, aviod a call for biometrics.
Regarding photographs: the instruction for I-131 (on the USCIS website) says: Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and Alien Receipt Number on the back of the photo.
My questions: (1) can I send all four applications (EAD and AP renewals for self and wife) in the same package to NSC?
(2) I have heard that they are very fussy about the exact edition of the forms that you can use (for both EAD and AP). The forms have an expiry date at the top right of the page (for example, ) and a revision number of some kind at the bottom right of the page (for example, Form I-131 Instructions (Rev. 05/27/08)Y Page 8). My question is: does anyone know whether the forms available online at the USCIS website currently are usable for renewal applications at present?
The 131 form on the USCIS website says:
top right: OMB No. 1615-0013; Expires 02/28/09
bottom right: Form I-131 Instructions (Rev. 05/27/08)Y Page#...
The 765 application form on the USCIS website says:
top right: OMB No. 1615-0040; Expires 08/31/08
bottom right: Form I-765 (Rev. 05/27/08) N
Many thanks

1) You can send each set of forms means AP for you and your family in one envelop and EAD for you and your wife in second envelop. I did the same thing and got approval for AP and EAD with no problem at all.
2) I did paper filing for EAD and e-filing for AP, but send all documents (mostly same set) for both renewal.
3) The forms you mentioned looks to be accurate and most recent. I did my renewal using the same forms last month only.
