Processing times went back although I do not care about it because USCIS process the cases randomly. They pulled back to not receive service requests and phone calls from applicants.

TSC went back even further to June 2007. They are trying to process pre-fiasco applications while treading lightly on post July 2 2007 applications.

EAD times have also been delayed, apparently.

After months of following up on my case, talking to high level IOs (not those customer service contractors, I call them "Robots"), I have noticed the only thing that USCIS do NOT care about it is: processing dates! All these dates, received notices and SRs are mainly not trustable.
My case is 100% ready to be djusted and IOs told me that the case is with the officer and he just has not made the decision! Isnt it frustrating?

That's right. They don't want SRs. This is what I had predicted. They will process whatever they want without any fear. It would be best to move processing dates to 2005 because then hardly anyone would be able to open an SR and USCIS will follow its merry ways.

This got to be a joke. Where is the accountability? Both the presidential candidates keep talking about accountability and see what is happening.

How can they have processed applications until July 15 based on their July 15 report and then suddenly 40 days later they are processing June applications.

Is there a way to get the July 15 or older processing times? I want to write to both Obama and McCain.

so guys who have passed their june deadline, start calling for sr's now if you are 30 plus days.

this reminds of one of the laundary detergent tv ad in india "dhoondte rah jaaoge"

Here is something funny. VSC 485 processing dates are at July 2006. They have already approved some of the 2007 cases already.

It seems like USCIS is correcting there mistake of advancing VB by two months. Now NO BODY is eligible for September 2008 VB because even your PD is current but your processing date is not current.

can somebody explain to me what the PD / processing dates link is?

i understand that priority date is when you got your PERM/Labor (for me Nov 07). if the VB says that its C, than nothing to worry about? (im eb2 row)

processing date is i assume the cut off date that USCIS uses to pick up (well, in theory) an application for processing based on the received date (may 08 for me)?

thanks!

It's just crazy..........USCIS is not following any pattern in approving the applications.....what they are trying to say when applications are approved beyond published processing date...........

Permorreg -- I applied at NSC with LIN number. Find additional details in my profile.

RD: 07/27/2007
ND: 08/27/2007
Priority: EB2, India, July 2004

No one knows what the processing dates means to USCIS anymore because they keep flipping it like anything. However the common understanding is that they are processing cases received in and around that time. The word "received" itself has various meanings (RD/ND?).

For an applicant: You cannot call them to ask the status or raise RFE on your pending case unless the received date for your application is 30 days or more in past of the published processing date.

Anyway its so retarded that they keep flipping the dates around. PD goes ahead by two years, but Processing Time : recedes. GO FIGURE.

All it means is that USCIS will not be getting bugged by 100 thousands people who filed their case on 1'st or 2'nd July 2007. USCIS has done this in the past and done it again one more time. But I think it is good for old timers (RD before Jun 18 2007) with SRs already opened, they might get response to their SRs in time now.

This is the 3rd straight time the dates went back. Infact there is no guarantee that these dates will not go back in next coming months. I think it is apparent that USCIS thinks it does not need to give explanation or accountability. And this is inspite of the fact that they are supposed to be under watchful eyes of Ombudsman Office. Do you really think IV will come up with anything? I mean even if they do, do you think they will consider fighting USCIS?

This is my interpretation of Processing Dates. Please correct me if I am wrong

Processing date mean, USCIS has completed work on all the files until that date. So we should start worry if our RD is earlier than processing date.

Completely opposite to it in VB date, USCIS is going to work up to that date. So whoever 's PD is earlier than that cut off date will (Might) receive GC.

If your RD is earlier than processing dates means you can create SR as they must have forget about you. So I would say we should not worry much about retrogress in Processing date (I know even I am saying we should not but I am worrying about it)

Processing Times means NOTHING. They do NOT follow any specific and logical pattern. Please spend some times here in this forum to see how people are suffering from the USCIS' random case selection.
Most of the USCIS' response to SRs or Congressmen, Senators inquiries are just "a standard response" which means nothing just wait and wait again.

If I am wrong, correct me.

For Us the PT means nothing, but for USCIS, it is used to shield them from annoying calls from the GC applicants. Remember, Jul 2007, the EB2 PD was current for ALL and USCIS received tens of thousands of applications. Now, by moving the date back one month, USCIS has cleverly avoided all the Jul 2007 filers. When you call them up they will simply say "Currently we are processing Jun 2007 applications blah blah". Jul 2007 filers can't get any fruitful information from USCIS.

Now tell me....Does PT mean anything to anyone?

S..

i don't think PT will move beyond June/July for at least next 6 ~12 months .until the tsunami wave of last July is cleared off ..Do they call this BULL WHIP effect??? All July bulls who charged towards their lawyers offices are getting whipped badly by USCIS whip

As PD advances PT will go back ..good fun....

This might help you guys (especially those from India and China) feel better- although it is bad news for the rest of us (my 485 is cross-charged to my spouse's country- France and was filed over a year ago :-( )

The reason these dates have retrogessed is as follows:

In the last 2 months USCIS allocated unused visas to India and China EB2.

Before they did this allocation they were approving August 10 cases, since they were only processing ROW and a few India/China cases that had very early Priority dates. None of the other I-485 cases filed by India and China in 2007 fiasco were approvable.

Once the flood of unused visas came in, they started approving some of the early July India and China filers as pre-July India and China were all approved (see India and China 485 approval percentages on trackitt for May and June 2007 filers).
The reason pre-July India and China have all been approved is because (a) only people who were current could file in May and June, and (b) there were very few cases in these two months from India and China. Since they have started approving some of the early July cases for India and China the 485 processing dates have moved back from August 10 to July 2.

Here is the somewhat good news for the ROW and early PD India/China people - they have run out of the unused numbers and have stopped approving India and China cases until October. So next month the dates should advance back to beyond August 10. But when the flood of new visas open in October, the 485 processing times will move back to July 3 or so as they start approving late PD India/China cases again.
