Topic: OCT 2007 is looking good so far
Posted by spherecenter (151) 02 Oct 2007
I see 3 GC approvals on 10/01 and 6 on 10/02 (includes 3 from india as well with RD in June 2007!!! ...so much for the VB). I am being GC crazy hopeful OR someone please say something to help me settle back into my chair. Most of the approvals are from TX. TX seems to be on steriods, probably need to route some to NE!

Here is hoping that this month brings some positive news for everyone who have waited a long time.

[RD: 27 Jun 2007, ND: 29 Jun 2007, PD: 07 Aug 2003, EAD approved 20 Sep 2007, AP/485 pending]

Anyone have any thoughts based on the Visa Bulletin (VB) dates and recent approvals with a RD of Jun 2007??? Maybe its just me but it does seem like GC approval is not entirely based on RD, but PD as well. thoughts?

What is wrong with NSC? Why don't TSC and NSC do hand shakes? I see TSC is approving with later RD dates as compared to NSC. May be that is their plan.

The Indian guy (gal?) might have a RD of June but probably a PD that is current as per the VB. Now, they shouldn't be processing June filers as per the Processing Times update, but that's a different story.

Thanks for the response, I am of the opinion that PD does matter - atleast in getting the older cases out of the way. In normal processing scenarios (without backlog etc.) VB dates would have been followed, but now atleast they seem to be focusing on reducing the backlog using an exception processes perhaps. Given that my PD is current and June filer, and the fact that GC is getting approved... I am like neither sitting nor standing if you can picture that :). Good Luck to all.

Hi

That's good news for us!

What is the category for approval RD date (June 2007) for India? EB1 OR EB2 OR EB3? Any idea?

Thanks

Am a lot depressed here. In a month maximum only 2 EB1C is getting approved. if it goes in this rate , dunno how long it will take for us to get GC. Also i dont see any eb1 discussion in this forum. so dunno wats happening in that front.

EB1C is the fastest moving category among other EB1 applications. EB1B progress (I am in that boat) is really depressing. My I485 case is pending for more than 1 year (11 months after I140 approval).

draj - Not sure I understand your Q.

Did you mean the priority by which approvals are happening? The short answer is "it's all over the place", I don't think there is any consistency in the way uscis is approving cases or its too complex to fathom from the outside. It also depends in the individual filing circumstances... but usually the cases are supposed to be processed by RD in each category EB1, EB2 and EB3 with preference of visa availability in the same order. But it seems lately that older cases (PD) are getting approved outside of the VB processing dates, which is good for some folks who have waited the longest. I am sure others who have been following this maze longer can add further insight.

They are strictly following the VB....nobody from India with EB3 is getting approved....if you look at the approved cases of October, you will see for each and every case PD is current according to VB.

Are you suggesting that if PD is current per the VB, then it doesn't matter when your RD (485 filing) is? (Some of the cases being approved in Oct, had a RD in June, even though VB suggests they are processing Dec)...

I think so.....if your PD is current, anyday you can get the GC welcome message....

in my case, I am EB3 and from India....so I don't have any chance right now....

The priority date is something that is established by your labour/perm certification. It should be on your I140 notice.

Dev2007 - did you hear my heart skip a beat :) I do hope so you are correct (been circling around since Aug 2003), it does seem that way based on the recent approvals. I am hoping that the cloud overhang on EB3 moves along too... just not sure how but x. Good luck.

2-3 applications per day .
At this rate they can take decades to process.

We need to see about 10-15 approvals on trackitt.
That will make us excited.

Today, 10/04/2007, I had an INFOR PASS to interview with IO. I got two consecutive LUDS on 9/6 & 9/7. since then nothing change. So I got confuse for NC and BAckgound check. The spanish accent IO, greetings me and ask for how she would help me. I gave my INFO PASS receipt and also gave her I-485 Receipt, ask her if my NC has been cleared yet or not? First answer, You almost there and she is smiling and tell me you are pre-adjudicate since 9/6 and some one has to adjudicate the rest of the processing and ask me wait 2 weeks for it. repeatedly she said, wait let me check ur NC, she said its been cleared, gave me congratulations. SO GUYS if ANYONE has TWO LUDS recently, its means you are pre-adjudicated....Congratulation in advance, it just a matter of time to get e-mail notification......STAY FREEDOM!

I had 2 LUD's 09/05 and 09/06... and nothing! Nothing!

When I didn't even have Labor Cert. yet, I was so desperate... now that I am so close and yet so distant, I feel even more hopeless...
