Guys,
Congrats to all who have received their approval emails and good luck to who are waiting.
Can we track Physical card and other approval hard copies received time here? Some of us
are anxious because of coming vacations and out of country trip plans -

what are the steps after i get the card? some passport stamping or something -

I am in the same situation
I have a LUD of "Cards production Ordered" for me and My Wife on Dec 3 2007
I Plan to Go out of US on 22nd Dec 2007
I am not sure how long it takes to get the Card after "Card Prod ordered Status"
I saw someone say 4 to 6 business days. is this after card prod ordered or after card mailed?
is there an LUD for "card mailed"?

Leaving outside the US for Christmas vacation on 12/22. My lawyer said that I will receive GC by then but advised me to secure INFOPASS appointment to get a temporary stamp in my passport. My lawyer said that my H1B stamp and APs are already void.
Will update once i receive the actual card.

I got following LUDs for my 485 approval. On 12/2/07 notice welcoming new resident, on 12/4/07 approval notice sent, card production - none yet. (EB2, India, 7/01 PD) Also there was a reference to ADIT processing in the first update welcoming me as a new resident. Anyone know anything about that, please share.

I got LUD for Welcome notice sent on 12/01, Card ordered on 12/03. Not got anything for Approval notice sent or card mailed. How many days it will take normally?. Also, i have not received any emails so far. Only the online status changed.

Congratulations, all!
NSC and TSC usually have different sequence of mails, and it sometimes also varies within the same service center. But looks like the pattern is *about* 6-8 days from the card production e-mail to the receipt of the card. In my case LUDs for e-mails: 11/28 Card Production, 11/29 Welcome message, 12/3 Approval Notice sent. I still haven't received the card or the approval noticee yet - hoping it'd be any day now ...

I got card production ordered email on Tuesday and received the plastic cards following monday, that should give you an idea. You should get your cards way before your trip.
I never got "Card mailed" email.

The approval notice will be sent to us or to the attorney?. Who will get the original and who will get the duplicate?. If the Attorney gets the original, should we ask for the orginal copy from the attorney?

For TSC it seems that card is received about 5-6 days after card production order email (CA). Somebody in this forum mentioned that cards are processed from Kentucky (so I can guess you can estimate from that).
Also, with TSC I only got the physical card and the paper with "Welcome to the New Permanent Resident". It might be different for NSC?
The 'ADIT processing' language seems standard for most approvals.
I was in process of moving when I got the approval notice sent email. She advised me not to change address until I got the actual card.
If you really need to travel immediately, yes you can get an INFOPASS appointment and just present a copy of the CRIS Email saying 'Card Production Ordered' or "Approval Notice Sent'. They give you a temporary stamp right there on your passport (mine was valid for 3 months) and they got back my EAD card.
Don't forget to get your social security card changed. I must say, it does take a few weeks for the SSA databases to get updated. Because even if I had the card a couple of weeks later when I went to their office, their computers did not show yet that I was a permanent resident. I got the new social security card after about a month.

Are we supposed to give the i-94 to the airline staff when we leave US first time after getting the green card?

I think its best we do, cause that will close the I-94 story/process properly, and then onto the new GC process, and then onto the citizenship process with US passport. Hopefully it stops there :)

You will also need you update your own SSN to remove restrictions.
Need to send a copy of your GC to your work to swtich you from EAD/H1 to GC.
If you own a house, you might need to send a copy of your GC to your mortgage company.

Could someone please confirm if we are supposed to recieve anything else other than the cards in mail? Such as another Approval Notice (Notice of Action, like the H1/140/EAD approval notices) and/or any other document? Thanks!
