12/07/07 : My Lawyer received the Cards and Welcome Notices for me and my spouse.

What was the notice type for this I-797 notice ( can be found at the top right corner) ? Does it say Approval Notice or Welcome Notice.
I received the card in less than a week (TSC), I received the I-797 two days after the card. The timing is a bit off because the I-797 says that I may expect to receive the card in about 60 days, but I actually received the card prior to the I-797 notice. Good luck to all.

I missed out on that one then, all I got was a letter from the service center containing I-797 that said "Notice Type: Approval Notice", and then a letter from the card production facility with the actual card itself.
Do you have a scan of the Welcome Notice so I can see what I missed ? (-;

Oh you didn't miss a thing. How about this I will send you scanned copy of my Welcome Notice and you can send me Approval Notice, that will bring closure to this whole "post GC notice tracking" situation and may be then we should consider quiting Trackitt !!! Until then let's track Welcome Notice, Approval Notice, My Notice, Your Notice, Christmas Notice for years to come !!!

OMG!!! That was lightening fast. To deliver my end of deal I have to go home get the notice, scan it and put it somewhere and then send you the link. I didn't know you were that serious ;-)

Because I'm AR, I have all my immigration docs scanned in. You never know when you might need it. (-;
It saved my bacon once when I went for a 1 week trip to Mexico. I'd handed in the I-94 when I left the country, not realising that I should not have done so. When I came back into the US they told me off for handing it in and were vexed as to what to do about it. After some hmming and hawwing, the guy said that the best way would be to just issue a new I-94 card with the old number. No problem, say I, let me whip out the Blackberry and read it to you from the scan I made...

I don't think there is any Approval Notice. I also received Welcome Notice and the card. Though i saw a LUD as Approval Notice sent, i did not receive any.

See the URL above - it says "Approval Notice" on the I-797 therein...
We're waiting for CanadianDream to scan an I-797 that says "Welcome Notice". (-;

I too got the Welcome notice and the cards in the mail - no 797 approval notice.
I checked with my lawyer and here is his respone:
"The Welcome Notice is the equivalent of an approval notice for the I-485. This indicates that your I-485 application to adjust status has been approved. The online status message refers to the welcome notice. Your PR card is proof of your status, and will also allow you to re-enter the U.S. without a visa or AP documents. Please let me know if you have any other questions."
I am really surprised to find a scanned "approval notice" on this thread.

mine and spouse 485 is approved and I dont know when my childrens 485 will be approved(NSC).

If you call the call center at the option "if you recently became permanent resident permanent..." the recorded voice after giving you the congratulations, will mention only the welcome notice and the card. Nothing about the approval notice.

hmm, looking more closely at the scan posted - it seems like perhaps in June 07 they were sending out Approval Notices but these days in Dec 07 they are just sending the welcome notice and the card - not approval notice per say?
Has anyone who got the PR card in Dec 07 - validate this argument or inform otherwise.

It looks like people get the "Card production ordered" notice before the welcoming notice, but I never got it. I will keep you updated.

haha! I've called twice and they claim they will contact my local office. My passport is stamped so I'm not really bothered. I hope I get it in time to go out of the country in the summer although I've already been out with the stamped PP. |
I received today the welcome notice for my husband (primary) and daughter (2nd derivative). No notice for me, though I received the card production email/welcome notice email/ card production email (March 31st)/ approval notice email (April 3rd) with them. Is it time to panic or should I wait the Monday mail?

Are you sure? No mistake in CRIS though I did not get the notice with the rest of the family? I am a bit upset right now. Will wait to quit the completely underpaid post-doc position I am in and throw away the NIW application ... It was planned for Monday ...

If you call them, someone CIS may change their mind and deny your application because they might think you have mental issues and the civil surgeon who was performing the exam made a mistake.
It happened to one of my friends. He was approved but made an InfoPass apointment where he once more was told he is approved. He insisted on checking his case status and it escalated. He had to be taken into custody and they revoked his GC: he got crazy after all this stress. They deported poor guy filled up with tranquilizers up to his eyes. |

EverGreenInd.... What are you trying to achieve (or not achieve) by using this statistics, anyways (if at all, you are going to compile it)? How does it matter, if 30% received both on the same day, 30% received within 6 days and the rest received in 2 months!!! They are all greened-up. Half of them may well have left 'trackitt' (or atleast stopped viewing the forums).
