Topic: Tell us the Time Of Day for your CRIS Approval Emails
Hi all,
Any chance that those who received approvals for 485 (today or earlier), can tell us all the TIME OF DAY you received the email (with time zone)?
Also the contents, for example, "Approval Notice Sent", "Card Production Ordered", "Notice Welcoming New Permanent Resident", etc.
ie, 10:45 AM, etc. (please remember to include AM or PM!)
I'd like to have an idea if approvals all happen in the morning or if they come throught the day. Thanks!
I'd like to keep this thread informative rather than speculative. i.e., actually cases.

Well, you're certainly entitled to think that.
However, I think it's quite informative. I'm trying to establish whether or not emails are sent out more or less in batches or as they occur.
And if you don't understand why timezone matters when discussing a thread that is focused on time of day, then perhaps you need to look at a map of America sometime when you are done insulting people. |

Thank you and everyone else who is pleased on our behalf.
It's funny - I've always been really pleased for those who got "the magic green" whether they filed after me / or whatever. It's nice to know that some people have charity in their hearts.
Others on the other hand just want to p**s on our party (no names....) ;-)
The very best of luck to everyone who is waiting - I haven't been waiting as long as some (in fact many) and don't have some of the disadvantages that others do (no EAD for spouses stuck on "Hell4" visas etc. But one of the things that I like about this board is that it is 90% friendly as well as being very informative.
Shame we can't work on that 10% really.... |

It was a long time ago, I couldn't find who posted that, but I believe, 11:30pm and 5:30am are mistakes (or not EST), I would assume CRIS sends blast hourly from 8am to 7pm EST |

There is a sequence of two or three emails ....I don't think it matters - some people get all of them, some only one, some a combination - some nothing at all would you believe! I know that one (now) US citizen still has the status "received and pending" on his I485 on another board
Main thing is - we're good to go

TSC, 10:31 AM EST , "Notice welcoming..." emails both for me and my wife. On a technical side, approvals at the Service Centers are entered into CLAIMS3 LAN databases (each of the 4 service senters and NBC has their own isolated CLAIMS3 LAN system). On the other hand, CRIS gets its info from the main CLAIMS3 mainframe database at the computing center in Dallas. Local field offices work directly with CLAIMS3 mainframe while CLAIMS3 LAN was specifically implemented at large-volume service centers to minimize the impact of network bandwidth and outages on their work. So, it all comes down to the schedule of the periodic updates from CLAIMS3 LAN systems into CLAIMS3 mainframe and then CRIS. From the timing of emails it looks like they run an hourly cron job to synchronize LAN and mainframe.

Hmm, I got "Card Production Ordered" emails today from TSC at .. 11:00:00 PM EST. Yep, exactly an hour and 0 seconds before midnight. Clearly, some batch job was programmed to run precisely at this time. Can anyone surpass this timing with even later CRIS emails?

Today I received my CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED.
Time of email was 2:59 PDST (Pacific Daylight Savings Time)
I had no LUDs after fingerprinting in June. This morning my case had no indications that it had been touched.

yes I had the same thing although I had a soft LUD on 11th march as i received my second card prod email on 10th , i received my welcome notice on 11th march |
