My PD is Sep 2003(EB2 India). My name check is also cleared as per TSC.What are the chances for my I-485 approval in April 2008.

Call using POJ method. They will tell you the current status. I called them yesterday..they said I am just waiting for visa number.that is final stage before approval..

USCIS is now paying more attention to older cases ( with RD 2003-2006) , if they are really doing that , then those with RD 2007,2008 may need to wait a little more. |
Here is the POJ trick to skip National Service Center and directly go to service centers.
1-800-375-5283 and the options are 1,2,2,6,1, receipt #,1(for TSC),1,3,4
Your call will be directed to TSC/NSC and you get a chance to representatives/IO who have better idea and access than representatives at National SC who just type out receipt # and let us know the status which we can see ourselves online

Called the USCIS today and got a very nice IO. He told me I am still pending name check and since its been pending name check since more then 6 months, and since the visa numbers become available in April it will be picked up in the sweep. I should hear something about it by end of april.

I am 99% sure. Your case will be pick up in the sweep. You will get approval before April 15th 2008.

how would USCIS know abt PD of 485 if 140 is approved after filing 485. 140 and 485 carry different A# and No PD mentioned on 485 receipt but it is mentioned on 140 approval.
Any guess ?

Mine is Dec 2002 but 14o is not yet approved ... do you think TSC will pick up as a part of new pilot processing

EB2 PD Aug 2003 recieved rfe on 26 Nov and Replied RFE for Medical on 29 Nov 07 waiting approval.

My PD is sept 2003 and as of January NameCheck was not done.Can I hope some miracle next month?

That's a good sign atleast they opened your i485 file? and received RFE and which you have replied i belive. i believe we all have to cross our fingers :-)

Hi My PD is EB2 Jan 2002, I called the NSC number with the options provided above a CR answered my call and opened a Service Request and said will answer my querry in 45 days. I asked her if she can tell me about my Name Check staus she said she does not have that informatin in her sytem and added that when they respond to my querry I probably may get answer to my question.

no.. they are different.. I guess many people have different A# on these receipts. Even for folks whose 140 was approved before filing 485.

I am expecting approvals in April. Got RFE and replied around Dec 26th. got several LUDs until 01/09 on mine and dependent's cases. I140 approved but online status still showing "Case received and pending"

That's true. I called last week (PD Nov 2004/ND Jun 2007) they told me is too soon to ask. "Just call after 60 days of your Processing Date"
I asked "what do you mean?"
"Well right now NCS processing date is July 2007 so you have to until this date move at least more than 60 days after yours.....
I am still waiting!!!!!
By the way, she told me that right now for I-485 I have to look first the processing date and then PD. I don't really know if this is true......

Hi. I am on EB3 category.
my PD is Nov,03, I-140 approved in 2007 . after that filed I-485 in Aug,07.
got receipt notice in oct,07.
in the notice:-
receipt date is aug,07,07
notice date is oct,02,07
got EAD on oct 15th, 07
biometric done in Nov,07
when checked the case status online , it says "case is received on oct,1,07 and pending with us .....", checked with uscis 1.800 number, they just read the same statement visible online.
My case is duu with Texas Service Center.
No RFE as yet.....
any idea how long is gonna take to get it processed?
what are the steps yet to be done from my side? is there gonna be any interview or anything?
please help me with the above doubts if u hv any info.

My PD is OCT 03 EB2 india and expecting some miracle next month. Hope March has 28 days :-(

I'm still waiting....after being stuck in namecheck since Oct 17 2005, I am now waiting on someone in TSC to pick up and adjudicate my case. EB2-India, PD: May 2001, I-485 ND: Oct 7 2005.

Today called to NSC and as per CSR/IO my case is in queue to assign to an Officer. she has no clue how many days it will take, may be a day / few day / 60 days. she told me if I don't hear anything then call them after 60 days.
Let's hope for the best.....

It is frustrating to see that some people come here to get their questions answered but never update their profile on trackitt. What are they losing by having the profile updated; it is insane.

POJ keystrokes remain the same - once you enter your receipt#, the call gets routed to the correct Svc Ctr. |
100%....its possible You may not get it in this month but inthe next couple of months or so. usually an approvable case (priority date current, checks ok etc) will get assigned to an IO, now it depends on that IO's schedule , vacation etc

Talk about fairness, she told me to call back in 30 days.

TSC can salivate at the rate of approval of NSC.
I tend to believe what rks said : TSC is setting aside the name check pending cases. |
