Guys, today around 4 pm (March 31, 2008) I got my magical email. It took exactly eight long years to get it.

I received my magic email yesterday morning at 7:15am - Card production ordered, and this morning again at 7:15am - Welcome Letter sent....
It has been 7 long years since I've seen my family. I am booking tickets as soon as my passport is stamped - I have infopass tomorrow at 1pm!
Guys, this is the best feeling ever. I've been a prisoner by choice for such a long time. Its great to be finally free... :-)

Snowflakes, are u sure u can get the 551 stamp based on the emails? they would not do it in Buffalo, which office are you going to?

One of the joys of seeing you complete the journey is that for the rest of us waiting there is hope.
I have taken a very philosophical approach to waiting and that is that with each day, week, month or year that passes I am that much closer to approval.
Enjoy your status and the relief that comes with it.

I am going to the Miami Infopass office. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't stamp my passport as my case has been approved. As far as I know they just need to double check with the DC office.
