Topic: EAD E-Filed Vs Paper filing
Posted by baroda123 (82) 15 Jul 2008
Hello All,
I E-filed EAD on 5/15/08. Today (7/15/08) after exactly 2 month I received "Card Production Ordered" Email.

I have observed on trackitt as well some other forum some differences between E-filing and Paper Filing.

E-filied
----------
- Receiving Receipt Number Right away
- Biomatrix and Pictures taken at Local USCIS office..Almost certain.
- Almost taking close or more than 2 month for approval.

Paper-Filing
----------------
- Receiving Receipt Number within a week or so
- I have seen many people has not been called for Biomatrix. (Less worry as you dont have go to Local USCIS office)
- I have seen many approval under a month..

Though I did E-filing, I think Paper filing is better. No trip for Biomatrix and on top of that fast approval.

Feel free to share your exp..

Electronic
You don't need to send passport size photos and document(s)

Paper-based
You need to send all those.

I think Paper Filing is a better option.
