I have a question which mite be very basic. I am in queue for Green Card in USA. I do not intend to become an american citizen. Will i be able to get dual citizenship for my son. I am asking this because, if we go back to india, wil he be able to study and compete in genral category.

He/She cant join politics, cannot be prime minister or president. Can buy plots, invest in business back in India... As per the general Category yes they will fall under the NRI (non resident indian category).

your son/daughter are eligible as persons of indian origin so you will need to get PIO cards for them, your grandson/granddaughter will definitely need OCI. as aPIO he can buy sell properties, cannot vote and other things like apply for govt services. however, that is India, i know a person who has citizen ship of a another country and was in govt services, education as a regular indian as well.

As long as you have OCI or PIO you can't enter in government or FBI.
But once you marry to Indian citizen you can become Indian Citizen and than you can enter in Government. in India it is not required to be citizen by birth if you want to be prime minister or president.
Not all government jobs are available to OCI person but some higher/defense level job in government where you can hurt India. One more thing you can't do is buy farm land.
