Hi everyone,
I am starting a new discussion here. I have applied for spouse sponsorship, my file was received at CPC-M on the 14th of May and I received an approval letter on the 16th of June, anyone else who received approvals in June and July, please post your comments and share your timelines. I haven't heard anything yet from CHC-ND, please let us know if there are any updates on E-CAS or anyone has received PPR yet.

Hello. I sent out my application on June 4th. They received it on the 6th. My sponsor got approved on July 7th, and they are forwarding the application to Buffalo. I havent received the AOR yet, but Im hoping it comes soon. I have a clean background and medical, so Im hoping the Buffalo part goes fast.

20 June 2008 AOR letter sent from Buffalo
08 July 2008 Application transferred to New York.
We sent everything with the application -- medicals, security checks and fees.

Called CIC-M today to ask how to fix a mistake they made in my name. Since I had them on the phone, I asked about our case. She said yes I was approved and that my husband's paperwork was sent to Damascus on July 7th! YEAAAAAAAAA

What number did you call at CIC to actually get to SPEAK with someone???? thx

My wife's case has been in Buffalo since July 2007!!!
Can I call any number from the US to check??? Buffalo do not have any numbers to call and they don't give much info via e-mail.

the phone number I called was 1-888-242-2100. It is for the CPC Mississauga office. I believe you an only call it from Canada but I could be wrong. I can not remember which option you have to choose. Sorry I'm not more help, I tried a couple of time using different options and I can't remember the right combination!

Yes I think you're right. It can only be called from Canada. For us outside, we don't have any way of voicing anything or knowing anything about our cases.
Thank you though, and sorry for hijacking that thread. We're definitely not June 2008 approvals.

My AOR letter stated that Buffalo had received my application and I was placed into a "priority queue."

Wife accepted as sponsor 15th June
Application sent to cic-uk
started processing my appliaction 2nd july
still waiting

CIC-M receives application on May 6, 2008.
CIC-M starts processing application on June 4, 2008.
CIC-M sends decision letter on June 4, 2008
CIC-M forwarded application to the Ministere de l'Immigration et des Communautes culturelles (MICC)-Quebec and local office (Abu Dhabi) on June 4, 2008.
MICC-Quebec forwarded undertaking and CSQ approval to the local office (Abu Dhabi) on July 10, 2008.
Received AOR from Abu Dhabi-Processing started July 23, 2008. Asked for supplementary information in form IMM 5549.
Waiting now for further developments....medicals and landing fee submitted upfront.

CIC - Mississauga recieved application May 27th 08
Sponsorship Approved and file forwarded to Local Visa office Abu Dhabi - June 24th 08
Visa Office Abu Dhabi recieved and started processing application on 31st July 08
Request supplementary form IM5549 (Although form was submitted with original pacakge).
Submitted all fees, medical, and security clearance with the original application.
Still awaiting approval and or progress.

We are still waiting for word from Abu Dhabi, it will be 2 months since AOR next week. We too had submitted the IMM5549 upfront but they asked for it again....We submitted all fees, medical and police clearance certificates upfront.
My husband changed apartments in Dxb, so we emailed Abu Dhabi asking to update address on 2 Sept.
We just received an acknowledgment for that today (15 days later).

There's a few of us there with spouse sponsored immigration from Abu Dhabi.

can i post a enquiry in canadian embassy regarding my immigration before 6 months??????

It's been 17 months and the embassy is not giving us more information other than the case is pending other government agencies. Even the office of the MP in Toronto has not been able to get any other info for us.
