I know that I am increasingly frustrated by the whole immigration issue. I was wondering if anyone else has had moments when being seperated from your partner has depressed you. What did you do at that time? I know that it is hard for all of us and perhaps that is why we can all be of help to one another. Part of the difficult part is knowing that there is nothing that I can do to speed up the process at this point.

Anyways, any suggestions as to how to cope in the mean time would be appreciated.

Well, i use a web cam and phone cards to keep in touch with my wife all the time. Plus every 4 months or 6 months, i travel down to Asia to see her. I know it's very costly, but then you can't put a price tag before your spouse. We chat and talk about 10 hours a day. Mind you, if you go thorugh the internet then it's free.. If both don't have internet access, then phone cards always work or internet cafe's.

I'm now a landed immigrant but I remember I was really stressed and frustrated during the process. However, the outcome was good and it was actually quicker and easier that I had expected...

Good news is, once in Canada, all that will be history. ;-)
