Topic: A LOCAL OFFICE TAKE THE SAME TIME TO PROCESS A SPONSORSHIP APLICATION AS IT TAKE TO PROCESS PR APPL
Posted by tora1492 (12) 16 Jan 2008
My wife's application has been pending for over 19 months. Canadian immigration is so slow that I wonder how anyone can immigrate there at all.

Hi Tara, someone told me on another forum that some office takes up to 20 mounths to fully process an application so i guess, it depends on the office with which you are, the office that am with takes 18-20 months.

I am not sure about vancouver, but here in Calgary is 20 months. My wife and I application where both transfered here to the Calgary CIC local office in August of 2007, from the CPC-V.

What i know is if your file transfered to a local office the immigration officer did not waste anytime to figure out your case, so they sent it to the local office to do that, also the local office will not deal with it right away until you meet there review time line which might be 18 months.

You can see what went wrong at CPC-V by odering your FOSS Notes and if they made any error you can have it be corrected by writing the body that made the error which is CPC- V that causes the application to be transfered and see if they can correct it and send AIP- while you wait on local office because your file canot be transfered back to CPC-V for decision.

However if corrected you can recieved AIP and work permit until local office review your application.

Hi I just sent my husband and my paperwork into Missauaga, Ontario I had sent them before but I had only sent mine because a friend told me that was all I was suppose to send, but they sent them back and told me to send in my husbands also, so I had to wait for his to get to me from Morocco. So I am hoping it will not take too long for them to get back to me.

Hi, How are you.
Dont worry, I am sure they will approved your sponsorship in less that four months, most likely 2-3 months. Your application is an out of Canada application so your sponsorship will be approved what you need to worry about is your husband file after it as been transfer to maroco, no one really have a problem with out of canada sponsorship.

Hi How are you.

What do you mean I have something to worry about once his file is sent to Morocco? And why do you say I have nothing to worry about is it really that easy here in canada? I hope you are right it would be great to have my husband here by summer time so we can start our lives together.

Hi how are you, Yes Canada is the easy part, after the approval in principle recieved by you then the Canadian Embassy in his country will interview him, it then left to him on the interviewer, so thats the hard part to please the interviewer. some or really nice and easy to satisfy while some or really a peice of work to get pass.

Is it really that hard to pass the ones in Morocco I know we had no problems getting all the paperwork done to get married is it harder than that? I am glad that Canada is easier though. Thank you for all your information anything else you can tell me about is very appreciate all the help we can get.

Most personal and intimate stuff about you and your spouse. so, most likely your spouse should know as mush as possible about you. also alittle about your family other words his in-laws, he should know a reasonable amount of information about them such as his mother inlaw and father in law, if he is your spouse dont you agree. and personal stuff about you. thats some tricky questions. basic immigration stuffs that you would expect them to want to ask to prove your relationship.

Oh ok well I did something for my husband and wrote him all about my life before him so he knows otherwise we know other very well we always seem to sense when something is wrong with the other and contact each other. So thank you now I have an idea as to what they will be asking now I am not worried at all. As for basic immigration stuff I have never had to deal with them before so I do not know anything about them. Is it harder in Morocco than Canada the interviews? I really hope it doesn't take too long I would like to have my husband with me we have been married now for 7 months.
