Topic: FOIA to get I-140 information

Did you get the CD?

I filed on 7/31. But it seems to move so slowly. I was tracking for 3 days and the progress is from 1034 -> 1020 -> 1018 -> 1015 in the queue.

Is this normal? Website shows 29 days to complete the request.

No, I did not get it, its been 14 days since the status changed to Processed.. I doubt mail missed somewhere; my i-140 was approved only 4 months back..

Hello, I have received the CD in todays mail;
It has 18 page scanned PDF of my I-140 application but nowhere I see its the approval copy of my I-140; Is this enough to extend H1 with another employer?
Also I see my A number written on the form also the priority date .. so I have those two information.

Topic: Change job after approved i140

What happens in the below 2 cases,

2. new PERM denied, Old I140 is still active. Can we get another extension of H1B based on the old active I140 ?

Old employer can revoke the i-140 with in 6 months from its approval date; So switch the job after 6 months are completed. Then you will be able to continue on h1 with your old employer I-140

Topic: How to File a FOIA Request

Anyone filed a FIOA request to get the approved papers of I-140 recently?
I am looking at their website and found that now they accept the scanned copy of the notarized application by email to uscis.foia@dhs.gov

Any experience , please share.

Topic: Dropbox Confirmation- Documents must have.

Below documents are listed must require as per the instructions, but my i-797 is still in US, it posted by attorney to HR then from there it will reach me; it may take atleast 4-5 days to get the original in my hand.
I am trying to speed up the process.
Please comment if you have used this facility before; will they insist on original I-797 papers?? I will submit a photocopy;
If I request them an exception, what is the possibility to accept my papers.

Documents to be submitted:
1. Applicant’s valid passport with all previous passports.
2. A completed DS-160 application confirmation page with barcode.
3. Photograph with white background (2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size.
4. Supporting documentation in ORIGINAL and one photocopy required for your visa type. (Documents as
applicable: I-797, I-129, I-20, DS-2019, CDC if issued)

Topic: H1B MaxOut n Labor yet to be filed - Options

Option 1;
I am going through that, h1 6yrs ended when i was on PERM period. now perm and I-140 cleared, h1 filed waiting for its approval to fly back US..
good luck, its a good option as long as your employer helps you to do all paper work on-time.
My case was different, finally h1 filed a week before in premium and waiting to get it approve anytime this week..

Topic: H1 B | H4 B Visa Stamping after H1 B transfer

Option 2 is good for you; going to consulate and stamping will take out week time on your vacation.
there is no benefit of having visa on passport if you are able to travel on old visa; also you may get it stamped anytime when you travel to India.

Topic: Timeline for passport receipt for dropbox

I have a question on drop box eligibility;

My employer is same but I am on a new H1 after my 6 year term is completed;
PERM and I-140s are approved and my company filing a new H1 based on my i-140 approval, also my Role on LCA and H1 are changed. Is this really matter for the drop box eligibility?
