Topic: March, 15 processing date uploaded
I have to admit to both shock and disappointment with the new posted date of Aug 15th. My RD is July 27 and haven't had a LUD since Sep 20.
The new dates don't really mean much if they have passed you and your still not approved.
Only encouragement is that they must expect to make good progress over the next while then. (Fingers crossed) |
Topic: EB2 - July concurrent filings at TSC
Mine the same received 07/27/07 soft LUD Sept 20 and not a word since.
Attorney said that he thinks another 2 to 3 months and it should be okay, we will see.
It has been frustrating, driving me nuts. Word of any kind at this point (except being denied) would be welcome. |
Topic: What happened in TSC?
Yep, on my 5th, maybe even 6th TN. Have 797 approved and EAC. TN is nice but does leave one feeling like you always need a back up plan at any given moment for moving back to Canada and where you might go and work to look for etc. Its easy and a great way to start but really looking forward to the Green Card. |
Topic: What happened in TSC?
I think this is good for me. I am Canadian, I'm pretty sure that means my I-485 is current. And I we did file everything concurrently.
Hopefully this helps my wife and I. Best wishes to others. |
Topic: How long will it take to clear 150K I-140 applications?
I disagree. I am a Canadian trying to get a US greencard. Both countries have a long history of immigration. And Canadians and Americans both understand that immigrants have a positive impact on our countries. Employment immigration is vitally important to the US.
Every American I have worked with likes legal immigration and depises illegal immigration. And there is the difference. So much attention is paid to illegal immigration that the media coverage allows lazy viewers to roll legal and illegal into one idea.
As for making Indians suffer, I disagree there too. I work with at least a dozen people from India and Pakistan and they are all, without exception, excellent employees and fabulous people. Any country would be thrilled to take all the well educated, excellent, hard working people they can get. Its a win/win.
I hate the back log, I wanted to be approved by now, I am still hopeful that it may happen in the first half of this year but at the rate they are being approved on the tracking site I am not sure, it could be another year :(
Hang in there, it will work out and it will be worth it. I have a bottle of Single Malt Canadian whisky in my cupboard that waiting for the day the GC is approved. |
Topic: EB1A-B-C in Texas (July Filers)
They are brutally slow on all July 140's, I'm an EB2.
With the way its progressing it will be a year or longer before it gets done. |
Topic: Maybe we should not worry-there is good statistics rate!!!
I share the frustration but the use of the word suck should be done carefully. |
Topic: Maybe we should not worry-there is good statistics rate!!!
I'm from Canada, I am coming to the US to pursue an interest in an industry not wealth. Canada may not be as wealthy as the US but it is by no means poor. In fact most people could have more shiny things if they lived on the ragged edge of credit card default like many in the US. It is in the G8 after all, has more than 10 years of balanced budgets and is reducing its debt, unlike every other developed country.
Canada is a nice balanced country. Taxes are higher but so is the quality of life and I never once worried about creepy dudes in the woods behind my condo or if its wise to put a kid in the public school system.
The economy isn't as diverse and the their maybe a few less options, but if you want a good job and decent healthy lifestyle its amazing.
If the colds a problem thats too bad, more for those that are there then.
If you are looking to immigrate to improve your life don't complain and be grateful you made it somewhere. |
Topic: LUD ON 485
I received LUD on Nov 25 for both my 485 and my wifes. We have done FP in early Oct.
This positive feedback you refer too on the I-140, would it be just that it looks good and you still have to wait till you get approved or is it that approval maybe near?
Thanks. |
Topic: Prediction for 140 Approval - REGULAR at TSC
The think that really killed my application was the brutally slow PERM approval in Atlanta which put my application right in the middle of the Grand July flood of applicants.
I could be carrying a card right now if Atlanta had taken 1 month in Jan instead of 5.
I am going to need mental support before this is all over. |
