Topic: Time to recive I 485 RFE

GCH1b, it is funny my PD is also Oct 20, 2006 and my RD was July 23rd 2007. is this coincidence or means a pattern? since my PD is still far away to become current, I knew from the beginning that some time in the future (within 5 or 6 years )CIS will be requesting me evidence to update my information. but now I'm surprised and nervous, seems that they are trying to clean the house and get rid of some of us unable to prove or provide any documentation at this time.

I'm surprised specially for the time frame to respond (Jan 4th), in my case, my company will be closed the last 2 weeks of the year. I believe my attorney will be on vacations as well.

Just in case I will request a new EVL from my employer and make a new appointment to the surgeon, just in case my RFE is about those requirements, but who knows I really hate this system....

Hopefully I will receive my notice soon.

Lance / rockstar, what was your RFE about? is your PD current? mine is not, it is Oct 2006 EB3 Mexico; I'm still in a long waiting time. why this people even opened my file. I'm really nervous.

Topic: Time to recive I 485 RFE

Guys, I'm having an anxiety attack. I got a RFE on my I485 application last Dec 4th as off today neither me or lawyer have received any notice yet. I called CIS and they said I need to wait 30 days before they can place a SR to see what happened.

Now this is my problem
- the RFEs are having a 30 days due date, if not responded they will consider my case as abandoned. and I can not respond if I dont have it......

What can I do??? RFE could be about anything and I need the notice to respond..... so am I screwed?????

Any advice from some one will be kindly appreciatted and will help me to sleep better.

Attorney says CIS is issuing RFES to people with "WAC" receipts.... I sent my case to Nebraska then CIS moved to California, then Back to Nebraska? Still waiting for notice....
