Thanks for your response. For point 3, my whole objective is to keep contiuing H1 even when you have EAD and AP as it is safer to travel with H1. But it looks like if you use EAD to do business or change employment you loose your H1 status.

Topic: When can you quit employer?

I want to understand when is it safe to quite your current employer through whom you have filed your I-140 & I-485. Also it is the sponsor of your H1.

Also, once your I-140 is approved, can you extend your H1 beyond 6 years limit. If yes, how long? Does it have to be with employer who originally sponsored your H1 and I-140 or it could be someone else?

Case - I-140 and EAD is approved through your current employer XYZ. You want to join ABC, but retain your H1 along with EAD? Is it possible
