Topic: USA to Canada

This is very interesting topic. Eternity, I read your posts and it looks like you had a wonderful experience. I am planning to go in a month or two, but have not been able to make any decision on where to go quite yet.

which one would ya'll recommend as far as odd jobs availability ( like working in a library, hospital or some side job while going to school), cost of living ( how much is 1 bedroom apt in toronto, Vancouver, calgary), transportation ( we are not thinking to take our car to canada, we heard insurance there is 3000/year(???, which city has better transportation, how much does it cost, Which place has better health plans, how much is the waiting time, how about loans for college, or is there such thing need-based deal where you dont have to payback. In terms of all these issues, which is the better place to immigrate to?

Do I need to put every little thing down on my " to bring" list when i am entering canada? Or is it just " big" things like car, furnitures, etc? How about bank balance? How much are we allowed to take, and do we have to put that on a list too?

Thanks much!
