Topic: urgent please help

You have to have original Papers no matter what. I was on student visa once upon a time and went to canada to see that stupid CN tower. My visa were expired in passport. I had to extend my eduction so my I-20 got extended few times. (plenty of I-20) Before crossing border at Detroit Tunnel i went to US immigration officer and showed this is what i have, if i cross the border and go to canada will i be able to re-enter into US using AVR? the lady was nice she went through all documents thoroghly and asked me where is your First I-20 on which US immigration Stamped when you came to US first time. shoooooooooooot. that changed whole my plan. and i was not able to cross border. I had misplaced that original I-20 i called My college people and they had copy of that original one and they told they could fax to Immigration officer and Immigration officer also spoke with my college people but Nope they wanted original one. This incident happen 3 years back. Hope that helps. It's always better to get the duplicate one before you leave country. Dont take any chances.....

Topic: Non US Citizen on H1B, Driving to Canada to and Return to US

Very nice thread !! Really Helpful !! But still got question if someone can reply me.

I came to US on F1(student Visa) Completed my BS degree. My Student visa expired sometime in 2007. Than i got my H1B Approved and currently working on H1B visa. I never left US since i got my H1B approval. I dont have H1B visa stamped on my Passport. (only Old Expired Student Visa) My Old i-94 expired and USCIS issued new one with my H1B Petition. Will i be able to re-enter into US after short visit to toronto under automatic Visa Re-validation?

Thank you all in advance.
