Topic: Can our home country help us ?

What! First of all, such a thought seems obscene. Do folks lose touch with reality and become so self-centred and think the world revolves around them based on this I-485 pending case.

What next! Make an indecent proposal to the Immigration officers?

Topic: How safe is the cash in your Bank ????

Ha...this comes into my realm of life..."Money" or lack thereof.

What would you say to someone who had earned quite a bit in the last 9 years and spent it all?

Can't blame me for having expensive tastes. As Churchill said, "I am easily satisfied by the best".

If any of the aforementioned misfortunes happens to the banks, I would have the last laugh.

Topic: I propose a $1-for-a-post rule at Trackitt

I understand we need to vent off. May be we can have a "Ramblings" or a "Grafitti" section. People can come in and post even their laundry list, horse betting slips and personal post-mortem details if they wanted too.

Through paid posts, the people who have posted a lot get a lot more credibility.

gcdedoyaar (1894) and July31stRN (1211) would be kind of Post-Gods.

rajkum (29), if were to go by your idea, you wouldn't have made much though :)

I don't intend to be ostentatious.

I would think we can avoid petty squabbles, top-row-keys typing, pathetic slurs and rants if we can use some sort of restraint in posting messages.

This is a wonderful group when everyone is in a good mood. But then, it becomes trash from people addressing each other by every other name in the animal kingdom, continental slurs and so on.

Otherwise, the quality of the forum goes down. Trackitt management should take this aspect into consideration. I am sure Trackitt is not a sucker for traffic.

Topic: Expired I-94s

When you get you H4 approval, you get the new I-94. So, if your white I-94 had expired, it does not matter. Your Green I-94 that came in with the Approval should be kept along side with it.

And at the port of exit, you would have to technically handover the latest I-94. You would have to handover that to the Airline official who might sometimes have a quizzical look on her/his face as to "what the heck is this?". Just be peaceful, there ends your responsibility.

Important: You are not eligible to stay in the US without an active I-94. You should have either the white which you received at the Port of Entry or the green which is from your approval.

Topic: EB3 INDIA is worst affected

Jainash et al,

I am not trying to belittle your woes. I understand everyone has their own urgency to to get their Green Cards. Considering that it is just one year since you applied, give it some time for things to fall in place.

If the 2001-2002 filers had felt that they were "doomed" just after a couple years of applying, they would have almost reincarnated by now.

Let's keep our attitudes up and soon you would see things brightening up. You really do not need you I-140 to be cleared to get an EAD. You might get it in weeks for all it matters.

Cheers1

Topic: US Economy sinks in to Recession!!!!!!!!!

We are not that big to make an impact on the economy. Please, if you thinking we make a big difference, I should say, we literally don't matter when it comes to the economy. An employment based immigrant is not the best person to spend. He/she is solely trying to settle here and if you are buying a house or a boat, it is mere peanuts.

And immigrants don't factor anywhere in the political scene.

If we need to think big about ourselves, then it should be just the technological skills we posses that drives more than half of the Software industry. And if those software companies are showing loses, then there is meaning in saying there is the dent that we caused.

But that ain't happening.

Topic: Bye Bye....Ringaringaroja

Guys, sometime I wish if the USCIS could take a look at this forum. I am sure, it would move them and would get things moving.

Without sounding cocky, we should keep writing. It is kind of therapeutic to share the grief, for both the writer and the reader. I wish I could say optimistic things.

If things are bad, buy a fifth of Johnnie Walker Black (don't skimp and buy Red label), pour a stiff one, play the movie "Life is beautiful", I am sure folks, you will have a different perspective the next day.

Too bad if you don't enjoy Whisky.

Where are you going? You seemed to be the optimistic one of the lot. You are not leaving the country, are you?

Topic: EB3 India 2001 & 2002 pending 485 applications

My curiosity has gotten the better of me.

My PD is Dec 2002. It looks like quite a few of you were expecting a quantum leap. That keeps me optimistic.

Regarding the bulletin, I guess everyone is referring the Bombay bulletin. But then, are we sure that E2 is EB2 and E3 is EB3.

It also looks like there are other visas termed E2 and E3.

I understand everyone was counting on the October bulletin, but considering the political climate, I would expect an early December bulletin and that would be an optimistic one.

Thanks to you folks for shouldering the pain together.
