Thanks Bhole!! I hope and pray that what you have said is true that they have recieved the RFEs and filed it properly in our files and everything is in place. I have waited for it for 7 years and anything that might cause delay makes me feel a bit restless. But thanks for the kind words.

No, I'm the principal applicant. I' m hoping the same that they scanned the barcode of my wife's RFE only when they received the RFE reply. They were sent together since they came together in a packet per my attorney. Attorney is going to send them a letter requesting them to check the file and uddate the status accordingly. I hope and pray that all this doesn't result into a mess and they approve my GC during the normal timeframe.

Topic: I-485 RFE
We (myself,my wife,and my son) received a RFE for our I-485 applications for TB skin test on 03/10/08. We got TB skin test done and our attorney sent the reply for all of us in a single FEDEX packet on 04/03/08. USCIS website shows that they received the reply for my case on 04/04/08 with a LUD. But for myself and my son,it still shows that they are awaiting the reply for the RFE. That's strange. All the RFE replies (myself,my wife,and my son) were sent together in one packet. So either they have received everything or none. Since they have received it as indicated by on USCIS site on my wife case, why they have not updated the status for myself and my son.
I spoke to my attorney and they contacted USCIS. She was told by USCIS Customer Service Rep that they'll check the file in a week time and let her know why the status has not been updated for myself and my son. That one week will be over on 04/23/08. Also the last date for RFE reply date. My attorney is saying that they are expecting that USCIS will update the case accordingly. If not, they have the proof that they sent the reply on time and will take the appropriate action.
Since I am worried as they might issue NOID for not receiving the RFE reply, I took an infopass and visited the local USCIS office. The guy over the counter told me that he is not sure why it's not updated and suggested me to write a letter to USCIS office saying that I have already replied the RFE with a copy of the documents sent.
Should I send the letter to USCIS or Should I wait for USCIS to get back to my attorney and let my attorney handle the case. I am afraid they might issue NOID for non-reciept of RFE reply, even though it's been messed up the USCIS guy, which might delay my GC process My case is otherwise eligble for approval as my PD (EB2, INDIA)is June 2001 which is current as of now.
Please suggest or share your experience if anyone has/had a similar situation. Appreciate your reply. Thanks. |

Has anyone received FP notice from Nebraska Service Center(NSC) whose notice date is after 05/16/07 ? I am not seeing any atleast on trackit.com for the cases filed in NSC whereas people are getting FP notice withing a month of receipt date of I-485 cases from TSC (Texas). My RD is 05/10/07 and ND is 05/16/07, but have not yet received my FP notice.
