Topic: Start work on H4 EAD while waiting for SSN

yes, you're authorized to work with your H4-EAD card. SSN # required for your employer to run your payroll. you may get paid once you have SSN#. so if you start working from sept and assume that you receive your SSN# sometime mid of Oct, employer may run your sept and oct pay in oct month.

no, you cannot use your H4-EAD as a visa document. it is just give you an authorization to work in US. you have to have to a valid H4 petition and visa to travel back.

Topic: H1-B 6th year Extension

Based on PERM tracker, they are approving PERM's applied in Dec 2014. so you expect to hear anytime from now on your PERM. once you have approved PERM, then apply I-140 under premium process. then you'll be good without moving out of US.

only risk i could see is, PERM audit. hope you don't get audit.

that's interesting. so if the H4-EAD approves for 3 years (based on H4 validity), then if i switch the company i don't have to go for renewal right?

Topic: H1b extension processing time - Vermont

i know there is some delay in getting appointments in US consulates that is because of some failure in their systems. it might be an impact on dropbox service also.

but their websites says it is resolved. i think we are good.

Can someone clarify ?

I've approved I-140 from company A and applied H4-EAD for spouse. now planning to switch company A to B after H4-EAD. Is that issued H4-EAD still valid during and after switching to company B? or do i need to apply H4-EAD again after clearing I-140 with company B?

Topic: H1b extension processing time - Vermont

i'm in the same boat, applied on apr-22 still waiting. based on tracker it is taking between 60-75 days. so you can wait till end of aug and if not you can go for premium.

Topic: H1b regular processing approval

Regular process taking anywhere between 60-75 days as of now. so you should see some update on your case some time end of July. Alternatively you can re-initiate premium after July 27th.

Topic: H1-B extention or I-140

Yes you can apply extension based on your PERM certification but you'll get 1 year extension only, but if you apply after your I-140 there is a possibility for you to get 3 years extension. here your employer can save some $'s.

Quick and simple thing - go for I-140 premium and then H1-B premium process. you should be done everything in 60 days. FYI - H1B Premium service is on hold by USCIS, so you can finish I1-40 under premium and get ready. USCIS said they resume premium for H1-B again in July.

you can hold NJ lic for 60 days even after moving to different state in USA.

Topic: iOS app for USCIS checking case status

i'm really sorry Pradeep. i was referring different app not yours. Sorry for not checking it before.

I have downloaded your app. it is awesome and great when i compare it with USCIS tracker app from itunes. not seen any bug in your app.

Quick question : does it automatically sends me an alert when there is a change in status? or do i need to refresh manually to know the latest status?

Topic: iOS app for USCIS checking case status

today i see an alert that my case is approved, but when i check USCIS website status it says 'case received'. but on your app it says case approved.

is there any error in the app? or are you getting an update earlier than regular USCIS website?
