Nothing changed after a SR... except you receive a letter which I found out it is the same for everyone except they have the courtesy to chage the name on the letterhead.
Sorry to say but no even my dates on-line have changed... May be someone has a different experience |

I believe you have to apply for an H1B extension and It will be extended for 3 years... May be I'm wrong but that is what I know from my sponsor and my lawyer. |

May be a lawyer would know better. Things to consider: Can you use portability on your H1b visa? Can you file your I-485 even if your PD is not current?... A very good lawyer could help you |

My experience was different to anybody else I paid for my entire process. Lawyer fee, Perm, I-140, I485, and 2 times EAD.
I would try to negociate with your employes, but my advice do not break the good relationship for this matter |

I did open a SR last week and I have not received any soft LUD... In fact, I called also USCIS last Monday an the operator wrote a note in the system regarding my case being so out of time frame... and the updates hevn't moved since March, 2008... My guess like usual It takes time |

I think no body knows what is happening with August ... I am August 16th, 2007 PD June 21, 2004 and I haven't had any updates since 3/08.
I called USCIS several times and until the dates don't move we can't open and SR.
I wish I could be more helpful but anything else would be speculation |
